As a devoted admirer, I’m thrilled to share that Millie Bobby Brown has taken on her most significant role yet-motherhood! She recently announced the adoption of her precious little daughter, a new addition to her life alongside her husband, Jake Bon Jovi.

Surprisingly, many people were taken aback when Millie revealed she was going to be a mother at a young age. However, it seems that Millie had been carefully planning this change in her life for a while now.

Millie, much like several other young actors before her, matured rapidly. At just nine years old, she entered the professional acting world by featuring in two episodes of the ABC’s fantasy show titled Once Upon A Time In Wonderland.

Since then, she’s consistently been working, with appearances in various series such as Intruders, NCIS, and Modern Family. Eventually, this hard work led to the breakthrough role in Stranger Things, which significantly transformed her life.

Her early career start means the actress did not have a regular childhood. 

Born in Bournemouth, she relocated to Orlando, Florida along with her parents when she was eight years old, starting her acting career shortly thereafter.

During her adolescence, she briefly enrolled in a traditional school, but ultimately had to withdraw because of bullying. For the remainder of her teenage years, she continued her education at home.

Millie found home-schooling suitable for her, praising its personalized approach and flexibility. She frequently worked into the night to complete assignments following her daily tasks, indicating her strong commitment to her education.

However, Millie pointed out that her unusual childhood wasn’t without difficulties, as living on the set of Stranger Things influenced her social growth in an unconventional way.

She mentioned that her unique personality might be the reason she doesn’t have many friends. She also shared that due to not attending school, her interactions with peers of her age and forming friendships aren’t as smooth. However, she is making an effort to improve in these areas, acknowledging that she missed out on some social experiences.

Millie discovered love at a young age, specifically when she started dating her future husband Jake in 2021, who happened to be 17 at the time. Two years after that, they announced their engagement, and subsequently exchanged vows in a private wedding ceremony in May 2024.

Previously, Millie mentioned her aspiration to become a mom at a young age, pointing out that her own mother, Kelly, gave birth to Millie’s older sister, Paige, when she was 21 years old.

She’s been doing this for a while now, even before meeting Jake. Her mother, surprisingly young, gave birth to her first child at 21, and her father was only 19 as well. She made these remarks during the Smartless podcast in March.

I aspire to become a mother in the same nurturing way that my mom has been to me. While I am determined to build a successful acting and producing career, starting a family is also very important to me on a personal level.

Millie was informed by Jake, the son of renowned rock star Jon Bon Jovi, that they wouldn’t be able to have kids unless they got married first.

She clarified that his passion lay somewhere specific. On the other hand, her deep desire was to build a large family. Given that she and he both come from families of four, it’s clear that starting a family is definitely part of their plans.

In essence, that’s our stance, Jake and I. Our home radiates an atmosphere where everyone is welcome, symbolized by an always-open door.

Regardless of the method or timeline, we are resolute about establishing our family; it is only a matter of time before this dream becomes reality.
