ABC comedy panel show Question Everything has been axed after four seasons at the network.
2021 saw the debut of a new show positioned as a humorous and authentic counterpoint to misleading information. The program, hosted by Wil Anderson and comedian Jan Fran, brought together an ensemble of up-and-coming comedians to fact-check, expose scams, and dispel fake news.
It was produced CJZ, the same production company behind Anderson’s other ABC show Gruen.
It was announced this week to Mumbrella that Question Everything has been canceled, and executive producer Nick Murray shared his regret over the series coming to an end.
He stated that the ABC has been exceptional in promoting homegrown shows such as Gruen and Question Everything, which are both locally developed and produced.
We value the ABC’s backing for unique Australian TV shows and concepts since they seem to be becoming increasingly rare these days.

Through numerous training programs, we’ve extensively developed both on-screen personalities and novice writers. A total of 43 emerging actors and 27 fresh writing talents have benefited from our training and internship opportunities within the show ‘Question Everything’.
In simpler terms, Murray praised Anderson and Fran for being fantastic collaborators, adding that the team enjoyed themselves immensely while producing the show together.
More notable programs have been cancelled this year, such as The Project on Channel Ten (which ended in June) and the Q&A show on ABC (which said goodbye to its audience in May), with the recent departure adding to that list.
For now, Anderson will continue hosting Gruen and is currently on a stand-up tour of the country.
Meanwhile, more recently, Fran has established a new media company named Ette Media in partnership with independent journalist Antoniette Lattouf. Their primary focus is to advocate for improved media literacy.
Fran and Lattouf additionally host the podcast “We Were Once Journalists,” where they dive deep into media analysis, drawing on their extensive industry experience to provide unique perspectives on how the media functions.
