Vick Hope shares new photos of baby boy Micah and speaks out on her ‘powerful home birth surrounded by nature and chickens’ after husband Calvin Harris’ graphic post-labour image

Vick Hope has broken her silence after giving birth to her first child last month.

Star of Radio 1, Calvin Harris’ wife, gave birth to their son Micah. Earlier this month, Calvin Harris announced the joyful news as the DJ.

Now, Vick has stepped out from the cozy newborn cocoon to post pictures of her first month as a mom.

Sharing Instagram photos of herself holding Micah next to Calvin, her son, and her family, who were all meeting the newborn for the first time, Vick expressed her deep affection by saying she was “completely smitten”.

Stepping out of the cozy cocoon of your first month, we’re here to express our joy, ‘Happy first month, dear Micah!’ You’ve captured our hearts in a way that’s beyond enchanting, leaving us completely smitten.

She likewise honored her profound home birth in the picturesque Ibiza farm, sharing: “Our cherished son Micah Nwosu Wiles arrived to us on Sunday, 20th July, in a serene, powerful home birth here in Ibiza, enveloped by affection, nature, and chickens.

Vick chose to have a home water birth on her Ibiza property, which she visited during her maternity leave. She posted a photo of herself relaxing in her birthing pool online.

In simpler terms, not only did Calvin, who is 41 years old, post an intimate picture of his wife in a birthing pool, but he also shared a heartwarming image of himself with Micah right after the delivery.

He added a graphic image of Vick’s placenta, which was subsequently dried, ground into powder, and then capsuled to create pills.

This practice, called placentophagy, is believed by some to offer postpartum benefits.

As a lifestyle advisor, I often come across the topic of consuming the placenta after birth. Some folks argue that it can help alleviate postpartum depression, regulate bleeding, maintain hormonal balance, boost mood and energy levels, enhance milk production, and supply essential nutrients like iron. However, it’s crucial to note that current scientific evidence does not support these claims. It’s always best to consult with healthcare professionals before making decisions about post-delivery practices.

In her new post Vick included a look at the placenta artwork hanging in the family home.

The artwork is created by imprinting the placenta onto a piece of paper or canvas after birth.

In addition to sharing a collection of photos, Calvin excitedly declared the arrival and captioned: ‘Our son was born on July 20th. Welcome, Micah! My wife is truly a superhero, and I am in absolute admiration of her profound wisdom during childbirth! So grateful we are for you, Micah.’

The pair received congratulations from fans, friends, and even DJ Oliver Heldens, who expressed curiosity about the placenta pills, in the comment section.

He expressed: ‘What a fantastic achievement for everyone involved! I’m curious, are those pills derived from placentas? (I’ll be back in a moment as I need to pose some questions to ChatGPT).’

In May, Vick took a maternity break from her BBC Radio 1 program and then departed for her home in Ibiza not long after.

In Gloucestershire, there resides a pair who own Terra Masia, the biggest farm on the island.

In simpler, more conversational terms: Vick proudly displayed her growing baby belly in a series of pictures at their home in the Balearic Islands, which she titled ‘June Bloom.’

The television host radiated an aura of pregnant grace, her eyes reflecting warmth as she admired her growing belly, clad in a stylish bikini top.

In simple terms, during her BBC radio broadcast in May, Vick openly acknowledged the speculations about her pregnancy and announced that she would be taking a maternity leave soon, signifying her upcoming motherhood.

In the course of our chat, Jamie shared that next week would be her last before she takes maternity leave.

In a simpler manner, we could rephrase this conversation as follows:

Jamie said to her: “You are such a fantastic friend, a fantastic individual, and you’ll make an incredible mother.” To which she responded: “Thank you so much.

About a few weeks past, when they were performing at Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Vick and Jamie playfully solicited ideas from the multitude of their fans in the audience for potential baby names.

Speaking to everyone present, Jamie mentioned that Vick was preparing for her maternity leave and was seeking suggestions for baby names. So, if anyone could shout out a few name ideas, it would be greatly appreciated.

As the huge crowd began screaming out suggestions a giggling Vick replied: ‘Ok, I got it.’

There was speculation the baby would be born in the couple’s sprawling Gloucestershire mansion.

The Scottish DJ, allegedly, has turned a tranquil village in the county into his personal multi-million-dollar rural domain by purchasing houses virtually everywhere.

Valued at a staggering £250 million, Calvin will soon relocate to an awe-inspiring five-bedroom house with his expectant spouse later in the summer.

It’s believed that Calvin has purchased two adjacent houses so far, and he seems interested in acquiring a third property. This potential addition would increase his investment in the neighborhood to approximately £15 million.

A resident shared with The Sun that construction on the property concluded recently, and they anticipate Calvin and Vick will move in towards the end of the summer following Calvin’s season with Ibiza clubs. From the street, the house appears stunning.

‘No expense seems to have been spared. I am sure they will love living here as a family.’

The action is reminiscent of Ed Sheeran’s well-known development of “Sheeranville” in Suffolk, as Calvin has now decided to replicate this by revamping the quiet village of only 700 residents.

A local resident made a comparison, stating: “Much like how Ed Sheeran appears to be purchasing properties around his stunning new home.

Over a prolonged period, the community has endured extensive construction projects. However, it’s not just the duration of these works that has upset residents; it’s also the loss of a beautiful vineyard that once graced their area.

Next to the original mansion purchased in 2019 for £3.6million (which was demolished and rebuilt completely), it is believed that Calvin may have also acquired a six-bedroom estate with a three-acre vineyard for the same price, although he made sure to remove all vines from the property.

Nestled within, you’ll find a luxurious abode boasting five bedrooms, all crafted around the iconic golden hue of Cotswold stone. This charming retreat offers not only a refreshing swimming pool but also a tennis court for your enjoyment.

Locals playfully speculated that perhaps the popular music artist might include the local pub in his tour stops, and they humorously added that he might even entertain the townsfolk with a DJ performance.

Originally working at a fish factory and stocking shelves at Safeway to finance his initial purchases of DJ equipment, Calvin has since achieved notable success – amassing eleven UK chart-toppers and earning millions from a residency in Las Vegas.

Since selling his song catalog for approximately £76 million in 2020, he has been investing significantly in real estate.

The expansive ground level of the new house boasts spacious areas such as the kitchen, dining room, and cozy TV lounge.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, let me share an intriguing tidbit: After acquiring a magnificent £12million abode in LA, a captivating £7.5million townhouse in London, and a picturesque 138-acre farm in Ibiza, Calvin has now found his tranquil haven nestled amidst the beautiful Cotswolds. Joining an elite neighborhood of esteemed celebrities like the Beckhams, Kate Moss, and Jeremy Clarkson.

Daily Mail contacted Calvin’s representatives for comment.
