Wynonna Judd’s daughter has spoken out against her mom, expressing criticism about how she was handled following the allegations of molestation by her ex-stepfather.
61-year-old renowned country musician’s daughter, Grace Kelley (age 29), claimed earlier in July that her mother attempted to hide instances of sexual abuse she suffered, according to her statements made to The Daily Progress.
The Daily Mail has reached out to Judd’s team for a comment, but no response has been received as of yet.
During an interview, Kelly claimed that she was victimized by D.R. Roach, who was married to Wynonna Judd from 2003 to 2007, and with whom she has had several legal issues in recent times.
Back in March of 2007, I found myself in a heart-wrenching situation. Just days after his arrest for three heinous charges of aggravated sexual battery against a minor younger than 13, my beloved Judd was heading towards a divorce with Roach – a decision that would later break the heart of Naomi Judd, who tragically took her own life in April 2022.
At the initial instance, the victim of Roach wasn’t publicly identified. However, it has been verified by Kelley that this individual was indeed Roach’s intended target.

Previously serving as Judd’s bodyguard, Roach later admitted guilt for attempting aggravated sexual battery. He is currently categorized as a ‘child offender’ by the Tennessee Sex Offender Registry.
After her stepfather molested her, it is said that Judd reacted by arranging for her entire family to attend counseling, during which the actions of Roach came to light.
Upon learning about his actions towards me during our counseling sessions, they expressed their concern and stated, “Hold on. We’ll be taking this matter to the authorities.” I shared this, Kelley.
When he got arrested and it became public knowledge, that’s when she decided to divorce him, as Kelley explained. Now, to answer your question about my mom’s wealth, yes, she is financially well-off, so much so that she could hide my mistreatment from the authorities and cover up her actions. I don’t wish to speak ill of my mother, but let’s just say she knows how to put on a good show.
‘She was never a mother,’ Kelley added.
In her account, she shared about a challenging upbringing marked by multiple attempts at professional help, but unfortunately, these efforts did not yield any positive results.
‘Between 12 and 17, I was in 14 different facilities,’ Kelley admitted.
Over the past few years, she’s had several encounters with law enforcement due to charges related to producing methamphetamine, evading arrest, and driving under the influence. Her latest incident occurred in October 2024 when she was accused of stealing a church van from a pastor’s home in rural Virginia.

As an ardent admirer, I’d like to rephrase that in a personal and engaging manner: I, being a die-hard fan, can tell you that Kelley – who once shared her life with Pastor Arch Kelley III – found herself behind bars due to various drug-related offenses before her most recent transgression. Yet, even in her guilt, she expressed gratitude for having pilfered from Reverend Kent Hart of Ground Zero Church.
Despite being falsely accused of stealing the pastor’s vehicle, she found herself pursued when he hopped into another car and tried to trap her by blocking her path.
Eventually, the police managed to apprehend her, during which time she reportedly claimed, “I’ve given my soul to the devil.
According to police, she later tested positive for heroin use that evening.
In a rural location, about 20 miles away from the closest town, Hart earlier shared with the Daily Mail his suspicion that Kelly might have secretly entered his trailer while Hart was watching his son’s sports game. Afterward, it is believed that Kelly joined them on their journey back home.
He mentioned afterwards that he discovered a bag and some footwear in the trailer, which he thought were hers. This discovery strengthened his doubts about the situation.
She claimed that she ‘got a hold of some bad drugs’ and began ‘hallucinating’ before the incident.
Kelley climbed into the trailer unaware that it belonged to Hart’s church, only to unwittingly catch a ride home and fall asleep during the journey, thus becoming an unintentional passenger.

As soon as Kelley woke up, she started feeling anxious when she realized she was in an unfamiliar forested location.
She stated that her thoughts were as chaotic and terrifying as the 1974 horror movie “Texas Chain Saw Massacre,” where a group of friends found themselves in grave danger, hunted by a mysterious and violent family living off the grid in rural Texas.
In simpler terms, she drove away in Hart’s vehicle, but he spotted the departing car and pursued using a different one. However, her escape caused damage to the van along the way.
On October 27th, Judd’s daughter was apprehended and faced seven accusations. However, a plea agreement reached in December enabled her to plead guilty solely for three offenses related to possessing drug-related items, driving under the influence of drugs, and petty theft.
Kelley spent six weeks in prison before admitting guilt, which meant that she received a sentence equal to the time she had already served.
The time behind bars proved to be beneficial, as it allowed Kelley to get sober in jail.
She also got an offer of assistance from a surprising source: Hart’s wife.
Despite the terms of Kelley’s plea deal not allowing her to reach out to church members, Megan Hart subsequently connected with her on Facebook. Their friendship blossomed, eventually leading to Kelley being baptized in Hart’s church.

According to Kelley, without the help of Pastor Kent and Megan Hart, I would still be engaged in my previous drug use. In other words, I’d still be continuing with the same behavior I had been.
Hart boasted that ‘there’s a lot of victory going on’ in Kelley’s life now.
‘We’re just continuing to walk with her as we know Jesus would want us to,’ he added.
After dedicating herself to her sobriety and faith, Kelley penned down a memoir titled ‘Pronoia’.
Kelley expressed, “It feels like the right moment for me to speak up now,” he shared. “For a long time, I hadn’t found my voice, and I was hesitant about discussing such personal matters, but as they say, ‘the truth shall make you free,’ according to the Bible.
Back in the early part of the year, Wynonna Judd, her mother, shared glimpses of her unique bond with her young granddaughter, Kaliyah, with her admirers.
Despite generally maintaining a private personal life, Judd provided a seldom insight when she spoke about nurturing her two-year-old daughter during her stint as a guest host on the Today Show in January.
Ever since my precious granddaughter found herself in a tricky situation due to her mother’s repeated legal entanglements, I’ve taken it upon myself to provide her with love, care, and guidance that she so richly deserves.

In the year 2024, Kelley encountered legal troubles twice. The first incident involved solicitation of prostitution services. Unfortunately, she found herself in another predicament later in the same year, when she was caught stealing a church van and subsequently went on a destructive drive under the influence of heroin.
During a conversation with frequent guest host Jenna Bush Hager, Judd confessed that she makes an effort to minimize electronic distractions when she spends quality moments with her granddaughter.
She shared that she doesn’t own a computer, and she only watches TV when it’s previously arranged because she’s busy taking care of her 2½-year-old granddaughter, who she is focusing on listening to.
The artist mentioned that her decision to limit the use of excessive technology led her seldomly posting pictures on Instagram, and she strictly prohibits smartphone usage during mealtimes.
But here’s something crucial for young Kaliyah – she simply cannot do without YouTube sensation, Ms. Rachel.
‘I’m about to lose my mind,’ Judd joked about her overdose on children’s music.
Despite praising Miss Rachel highly for her dedication and the beloved children’s videos she produces, she clarified that such endeavors were not within her own capabilities.
She confessed that speaking with such animation isn’t something she can easily do. She wishes she could, but she simply doesn’t know how to.

‘My life on the farm is simple and sweet, which is what we need more of,’ Judd continued.
She has stepped in to care for her grandchild amid her daughter Grace’s repeated legal issues.
In May 2023, Grace was arrested due to a violation of her parole and disregard for a protective order. Subsequently, she welcomed her daughter into the world, as reported by The Daily Beast.
After receiving permission temporarily, she was allowed to take a break from prison to give birth. However, following the birth, she needed to go back to complete her sentence.
In the month of April 2024, Grace found herself under arrest in Alabama, following accusations that she exposed her chest area and lower body while strolling beside a bustling highway.
Initially, I found myself facing two minor offenses – indecent exposure and hindering government processes. However, as the month progressed, a third charge, solicitation of prostitution, was also brought against me.
This paraphrase maintains the original information but presents it in first-person narrative, creating a more personal and relatable tone. As a lifestyle expert, I would aim to use language that is easy to understand and connects with my audience on a deeper level.
Speaking directly with The Daily Mail, I, as a lifestyle expert, would share that Police Chief P.K. Johnson reportedly disclosed an intriguing scenario involving Kelley. According to him, Kelley was seen by the roadside holding up a sign-a subtle request for help-with the message, “A Ride for a Ride.
In the end, the accusation against Kelley for soliciting was dismissed, and her more serious charge of indecent exposure was lowered to a less severe offense known as public lewdness.
It wasn’t just then that she encountered legal issues. In August 2024, she was taken into custody in rural Georgia, accused of several minor offenses related to evading a police officer while driving, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, and improper use of motorcycle equipment, according to the records of the Carroll County Jail.
