In a recent announcement, Tencent Games’ affiliate, Level Infinite, revealed plans for the initial closed beta testing of the action survival game titled “Rust Mobile.” Scheduled to debut on Android and iOS devices in early November, this test will be accessible in the United States, Canada, the UK, Germany, France, Japan, and Thailand. Interested participants can now sign up for the testing phase.

Dive into a deserted island and gather, craft, and build to stay alive

If you haven’t heard yet, Rust Mobile is an officially licensed survival game inspired by the popular PC version. Whispers about its development started back in January 2024. Facepunch Studios later verified these rumors and held a 7-day Alpha test followed by a beta test in China. This month, pre-registration for the game has become available.

As a gamer, I find myself stranded on a desolate island in this game, equipped only with my brains. Survival here is all about scavenging essentials, constructing a shelter, forging weapons and equipment, and navigating through fierce wildlife, rival players, and an unforgiving ecosystem. It’s a fight to the finish, where every resource matters, and every decision could mean life or death.

All in all, Rust Mobile delivers an exciting gaming experience that includes diverse region-based environments, open-world exploration, permanent character death, raiding, crafting, intense player vs. player combat, base construction, sandbox gameplay, a dynamic day-night cycle and weather system, and much more.

How to sign up for the Rust Mobile closed beta test

The exciting update is that Rust Mobile is preparing for its inaugural closed beta testing, set to launch on Android and iOS platforms around early November. This test has a limited number of openings and is exclusively offered to players residing in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, and Thailand.

If chosen, you’ll receive an email at the address you submitted about joining the test. Regrettably, my area isn’t included in this beta testing phase. Nevertheless, I can’t help but feel a twinge of envy. I’m eagerly anticipating updates on the game’s progress and what delightful surprises the developers have in store for us!
