NBA Legend Dennis Rodman Names Michael Jordan The GOAT Over LeBron James, And I Also Agree About The Other Play He Wants Added To The Debate

The conversation about which basketball player is the greatest of all time often centers around two individuals: Michael Jordan and LeBron James. Both have undeniably left their mark on the sport, but opinions vary on who surpasses the other. Personally, I lean towards Jordan’s greatness, a sentiment shared by Dennis Rodman. Yet, Rodman also acknowledges another legend as equally impressive.

Dennis Rodman, a renowned basketball player, shares a deep bond with Michael Jordan, having been teammates during their time with the Chicago Bulls. This unique position allowed him to witness some of Jordan’s most legendary performances on the court firsthand. Recently, in an interview on N3ON’s livestream (available on YouTube), Rodman was asked about his thoughts regarding Jordan compared to LeBron James, in terms of who is the greatest basketball player of all time. Without a moment’s pause, Rodman offered his opinion.

We know who that is. Jordan all day long.

It’s not surprising at all that the former Detroit Piston isn’t the only one to consider Michael Jordan the greatest of all time, given Jordan’s impressive basketball career. Over a period of 8 years from 1991 to 1998, he led the Chicago Bulls to six NBA Finals victories. His accomplishments extend beyond this, as he was also awarded five Most Valuable Player titles, selected for 14 All-Star teams, and made it onto the All-NBA First Team 10 times, among other achievements. So, it’s only natural that Jordan is often recognized with such a significant accolade.

Dennis Rodman isn’t shy about expressing admiration for fellow players, particularly those he’s competed against. For instance, several years ago, Rodman praised his Bulls teammate Scottie Pippen, whom he considers a friend. Interestingly, Rodman has also expressed a desire for Michael Jordan and Pippen to patch things up after their disagreement. Beyond that, Rodman even thinks a legendary player from the Los Angeles Lakers deserves mention in the GOAT debate alongside Jordan and LeBron James.

As a devoted cinephile, I can’t help but notice the omission of a legend often overlooked in our conversations: Kobe Bryant. While we discuss numerous other greats, there seems to be an unusual silence regarding this extraordinary talent. It’s as if his name has been misplaced in the annals of sports history. Yet, he remains one of my personal favorites and continues to inspire me with his unparalleled skill and indomitable spirit.

Kobe Bryant, who tragically passed away, is widely respected as one of the most gifted basketball players in history. His impressive collection of awards includes five NBA championships, 18 All-Star selections, and an MVP title, among others. However, I believe that Bryant’s name should be mentioned more frequently in discussions about the greatest of all time (GOAT). Although Charles Barkley once stated that Michael Jordan was more driven than Bryant, it doesn’t diminish Bryant’s claim to the GOAT title.

Absolutely, it’s undeniable that LeBron James has earned his accolades, with multiple championship wins, MVP titles, and All-Star appearances to his name. Notably, he holds the record for the highest number of points scored in NBA history, surpassing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s long-standing record. However, I must concede that Michael Jordan has a distinct edge for me, as I believe his exceptional mindset propelled him to outshine his contemporaries. Dennis Rodman shares this sentiment, and I have no doubt that many others do too.
