At Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, alcohol will now be more easily accessible than ever before, with the introduction via Beak and Barrel.
On August 29th, Disney will shatter a long-standing tradition that’s been in place since Magic Kingdom first opened its gates. This historic moment marks the debut of their very first standalone tavern, The Beak and Barrel, which is set to open in Adventureland, located right next to Pirates of the Caribbean. Reservations for this much-anticipated new venue will become available starting August 20th at 7:00 p.m. ET, and given the excitement surrounding it, it’s expected to book up quickly.

However, beyond the decorated themes, unique cocktails, and special mugs, the introduction of alcohol in Magic Kingdom signifies a larger change: a move away from Walt Disney’s original concept of a park where parents and children could enjoy together without the disturbances and distractions typical of adult nightlife.
