Severance boss Ben Stiller has responded to a big announcement about season 3.
The actor known for “Meet the Parents” and “Zoolander” isn’t only an executive producer of the Apple TV+ series; he is also its main director.
He helmed six out of nine episodes of season 1, and five out of 10 episodes of season 2.

As I share this update from my gaming corner, let me clarify that I won’t be guiding the episodes for Season 3. Instead, I’m gearing up to helm a war movie, scheduled for filming in the spring.
Through various social media platforms, fans have expressed concerns about reduced involvement of Stiller in the upcoming episodes of “Severance”. However, he promptly alleviated these fears by affirming his continued active participation in the show’s creative process.

For the past eight months, I’ve been thoroughly engrossed in producing season 3, and there’s no sign of me stepping away anytime soon. In response to one comment, I wanted to mention that our team comprises exceptional directors and a creative group responsible for the show.
“I really enjoy being the director and can’t wait to get back to it someday soon. I have a strong feeling that season 3 will be even better than before, as we keep developing our ideas further.
Elsewhere in the LA Times interview, Stiller touched on turning 60 years old in November.
He stated that he finds himself at a stage in life where he feels as though time is running out, and sixty seems quite an age, which is difficult to accept.
“And of course, it’s that other thing of, like, you know what the next one is. ‘Oh, s**t.'”

Earlier, I was thrilled to hear directly from Stiller that the wait for the next season isn’t going to be as long as it was between seasons 1 and 2 – a whopping three years! This time around, it seems like we won’t have to endure such a lengthy gap.
Simultaneously, Stiller is set to appear in the upcoming film titled “Focker-in-Law,” a sequel to “Meet the Parents.” This production has recently welcomed a prominent singer-turned-actor into its ensemble.
Severance seasons 1-2 are streaming now on Apple TV+.
