Tom Hollander’s “sun-drenched chase thriller” from Luther boss drops first trailer

Sky has dropped the first trailer for Tom Hollander’s new thriller series The Iris Affair.

The forthcoming series, created by Neil Cross (who also oversees Luther), pairs John Hannah’s character with Niamh Algar’s, portraying them as two intellectually formidable individuals engaged in a dangerous cat-and-mouse chase throughout Italy.

When puzzle prodigy Iris Nixon (Algar) solves a series of intricate internet riddles, it leads her to a piazza in Florence. There she encounters captivating entrepreneur Cameron Beck (Hollander).

While footage of Iris darting through Italy unfolds, Cameron, portrayed by Hollander, comments: “You’re as close to the devil as it gets.

In the discussion about the series, Cross declared in his statement: “My aim was simply to create a show that I myself would enjoy watching. ‘Iris’ is an unabashedly thrilling, clever, action-packed drama, and its lead character is unlike anyone we’ve seen on television before.
