A memorable video from years ago, featuring Kim Kardashian’s debut on a talk show, is gaining popularity once more on various social media platforms.

In August 2008, the 44-year-old entrepreneur and social media leader marked her debut on a late-night talk show by appearing on The Late Show hosted by David Letterman for the first time.

In the interview, she talked about earning money by selling her clothes on eBay and her recent venture into reality TV shows.

The interview took place only a few months following the debut of their reality TV series “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” in 2007, which propelled her and her siblings to fame.

Strutting elegantly in a chic crimson gown, she exuded self-assurance in the video, making her grand entrance on The Letterman stage. When the host inquired, ‘So, what’s your profession? Do you own a shop?’, this was the scene that unfolded.

In response, she shared that she operates a clothing store, has experience as a wardrobe stylist, and also runs a business specializing in closet organization. She visits closets to perform a complete overhaul of their organization.

In the past 17 years, Kim’s career has flourished significantly, leading her to amass a net worth of approximately $1.7 billion, as reported in May 2025.

Last week, there were several nostalgic moments when Kim shared an unseen photograph of her late father, Robert Kardashian, on Sunday, looking back at cherished memories.

A well-known figure from reality television shared an old photograph on Instagram that showed her, as a young child, standing alongside an attorney who passed away at the age of 59 due to esophageal cancer. Her mother, Kris Jenner, also appeared in the picture and is currently 69 years old.

Kris was Robert’s wife from 1978 to the time of their divorce in 1991. Apart from Kim, they also had three children together: daughters Kourtney (born in 1979) and Khloe (born in 1984), as well as a son named Rob (born in 1987).

22-year-old Kim, whose attempt to acquire a cherished item linked to her late father in September 2003 was unsuccessful, lost her father back then.

In 1998, approximately seven years following his finalized divorce from Kris, Robert got married to Jan Ashley. Regrettably, their union was terminated through an annulment just thirty days into the marriage.

Three years into their relationship, the L.A. native got married to Ellen Pierson (formerly Markowitz) – who would later become his third wife – just six weeks before his passing.

In the year 1991, not long after her divorce from Robert was made official, Kris tied the knot with Olympic decathlete Caitlyn Jenner (previously known as Bruce). Together, they welcomed two daughters, Kendall who is now 29 years old, and Kylie at 28.

Kim is currently studying to become a lawyer, like her father.

Back in May, I wrapped up my long, six-year legal education odyssey with my law school program. However, the journey isn’t quite over yet; I must clear the Bar Exam hurdle before I can officially start practicing law here in this state.

In 2020, Kim expressed that she believed her father would feel incredibly proud seeing her dedicate herself to a legal career. Whenever she encounters difficulties or feels discouraged while studying, she often finds solace by remembering her father.

She remarked that he likely experienced similar challenges as her. Sharing thoughts on those experiences would have been thrilling, and she was certain he’d feel an immense sense of pride.

In the past few years, Kim has dedicated herself to improving prison systems, and she believes establishing her own law practice could assist in providing employment opportunities for ex-convicts.

Simpson, who apparently owns the item now, declined my request.

Malcolm LaVergne, the executor of the estate, regretfully disclosed that they couldn’t accept the $15,000 offer for the Bible that Simpson’s father had given him, as it was already past the deadline for purchases outside the auction held after Simpson’s death on April 10, 2024.
