It was announced that the hen party of a woman’s friend was called off because Elton John and David Walliams had booked a semi-exclusive event at a restaurant in Cannes.

They posted photos showing them enjoying a meal at La Guérite restaurant and beach club, located on the beautiful island of Île Ste-Marguerite, just south of Cannes.

However, it appears that the reservation for the group of women who had planned to celebrate their friend’s upcoming wedding at the venue in May was suddenly canceled at the last minute due to their alleged attendance.

On Instagram, a friend of the bride playfully commented: ‘I hope you had a great time at La Guérite! Unfortunately, our reservation was canceled for my best friend’s bachelorette party because of your “semi-private function”.

On Instagram, a friend of the bride jokingly posted: ‘Wishing you had fun at La Guérite! Sadly, we couldn’t celebrate my friend’s hen do there due to your “semi-private event”.’

She added: ‘We booked our table in May didn’t think it would be cancelled with 24 hours’ notice.’ 

Her claim was supported by another woman who said, ‘How unfortunate! We came here specifically for this event, which is a hen party for our friend.’

It’s quite possible neither Sir Elton nor Walliams knew about any cancellations of bookings for their event on that particular day.

In a report by The Telegraph, it was noted that Walliams posted a picture on social media, showing him seated beside his friend Sir Elton John at a restaurant, with comments from women added below.

Aged 53, comedian Walliams enthusiastically posted a video of himself dancing, visibly thrilled as Whitney Houston’s I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me) began to play. This spectacle was met with laughter and delight from pop legend Sir Elton.

Walliams, standing near the table, enthusiastically danced along to the music, eventually joining Sir Elton for a dance, with his hands resting on the back of Sir Elton’s chair.

In a refreshing summer ensemble, the iconic figure from the Crocodile Rock, exuded an upbeat mood, joining in on the singing, and then erupted into fits of infectious laughter.

Walliams, hiding his eyes behind sunglasses, reveled in each second with an expansive smile, while other patrons chuckled synchronously.

Besides Elton, David also spent time with Kit Connor, Joe Locke, and Tobie Donovan, who are all part of Heartstopper. These young men, aged 21 (Kit Connor and Joe Locke) and 23 (Tobie Donovan), enjoyed the sun together, as pictures shared suggest.

He shared the clip to X and captioned it: ‘Summer holiday’.

Sir Elton attended the same restaurant with his husband David Furnish in July.

It’s thought that the singer possesses a £15 million villa, often referred to as the Yellow Palace, located near the coastline just beyond Cannes.
