Prime Video announces new “high stakes” crime thriller that’s ‘one of most powerful’ on the streamer

Amazon’s streaming service, Prime Video, has unveiled a fresh “high-tension” crime drama featuring Ali Fazal, who previously starred in the film Death on the Nile.

In the movie titled “Raakh,” actors such as Sonali Bendre from “The Broken News” and Aamir Bashir, who appeared in “Tiger 3,” are joining forces with Fazal to form an intriguing ensemble cast for this Indian investigative crime thriller.

On Instagram, Prime Video India unveiled their latest series by sharing an enticing promotional poster of the forthcoming program.

The heartfelt tale titled “Raakh” is slated for release next year; however, the precise release date has not been disclosed as of now.

About the latest series, Nikhil Madhok, who is the director and head of original content at Amazon Prime Video India, stated: “We aim to keep expanding the horizons of conventional storytelling and offer intricate tales to our viewers (as reported by Variety).

On the outside, Raakh embodies a suspenseful tale filled with unforeseen twists and intense dramatic moments. But beneath its surface, it’s a deeply moving narrative that resonates profoundly with viewers even after the movie ends.

In his praise, Madhik referred to the series as a “powerful tale that we’ve shared on Prime Video,” commending the cast for bringing “the intriguing universe crafted by Anusha Nandakumar and Sandeep Saket to vivid reality.

Simultaneously, the show’s director, Roy, described Raakh as an engrossing realm that challenges norms and delves into the intricate dimensions of human psychology.

Roy went on saying, “Anusha and Sandeep have constructed a story that explores complex themes like morality, justice, and redemption, managing to keep audiences captivated throughout.

To put it simply, I find this series to be a daring advancement in Indian narrative, as it skillfully combines powerful dramatic elements with intricate character analysis.
