Michael Parr has embraced a ‘huge lifestyle change‘ as he prepares to welcome his first child.  

Actress Isabelle Du Plessis, who is well-known for her role alongside Emmerdale’s Ross Barton (played by Charles), announced in May that they plan to grow their family together.

In preparation for the most significant part of his career, he’s openly shared that a peaceful domestic life wasn’t necessarily in his long-term plans.

Back in my younger days, at the tender age of 26, stepping into my dream role was like a fairytale come true! Prior to that, the thrill wasn’t just about hitting the dance floors at nightclubs or unwinding with pints post-work hours. But once I got this gig, everything changed!

‘Now I’m entering dad mode. I like my tea and early nights.’ 

After learning about the pregnancy news from Izzy, he shared that this revelation significantly shifted his perspective on life. It helped him understand what truly matters in his life.

In May, Mike’s girlfriend announced on Instagram that they were expecting a baby in a heartwarming message.

She posted a collection of touching photos featuring herself and the popular Ross Barton actor, Mike, snuggling together.

Isabelle proudly displayed her expanding belly in a tight-fitting, beautiful red dress adorned with flowers. She accessorized it with stylish white sandals.

Mike looked sharp in a white shirt and black pants, standing confidently with one hand resting on Isabelle’s belly.

As a devoted duo, we couldn’t help but sport broad grins when it came time to unveil our exciting news: We’re expanding our family! The sheer joy we felt in that moment was truly indescribable.

They haven’t specified the exact delivery date, only hinting that their baby is coming ‘soon’, and they haven’t disclosed the sex of their first-born child yet.

In a caption, Isabelle simply gushed: ‘In our Mum & Dad Era.’

In October, Mike disclosed that he had entered into a fresh romantic partnership; however, he chose not to unveil the identity of his partner in this relationship.

At that moment, he shared with The Mirror: “I’m experiencing great happiness in my relationship. She is truly remarkable and incredibly supportive.

Previously, he was romantically involved with actress Isabelle Hodgins, known for her role as Victoria Sugden in the soap opera. However, they separated around the year 2019.

From 2013 to 2018, Michael took on the character of the antagonist Ross Barton in the soap opera Emmerdale. More recently, he’s resumed playing this role.

Following his initial appearance on the program, he swiftly won over viewers with his engaging portrayal of the intricate yet captivating character, Ross.

Two months following his exit in 2018, the actor expressed feeling restless due to a lack of work opportunities. He subsequently returned to the screen towards the end of 2024.

Ross had a history of stormy connections with Donna Windsor and Debbie Dingle, and he departed after a dreadful acid assault that caused him ongoing struggle with depression.

Regarding his comeback, Michael expressed great excitement by saying: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be back in Emmerdale! Ross is a character I hold dear, and I can’t wait to delve into what transpired for him during the last five years.
