The longstanding disagreement between Vicky Pattison, the latest addition to Strictly Come Dancing, and a fellow ITV celebrity comes to light following her public labeling of him as a ‘privileged rodent.’
For more than ten years, the Geordie Shore celebrity, aged 37, and Sam Thompson, formerly of Made In Chelsea, have consistently appeared in the world of reality television.
However, there were instances where they had disagreements in the past, leading Vicky to restrict Sam’s access for a period of five years.
Regardless of their mutual friendship with ex-Strictly contestant Pete Wicks, these reality celebrities have managed to keep a safe distance from one another throughout the years.
2017 marked the beginning of a series of events when Vicky publicly criticized Sam’s sibling, Louise Thompson, regarding a workout video she shared from her vacation.
During an interview with Now magazine about Louise’s workout videos featuring her boyfriend, Ryan Libbey, Vicky playfully commented: “Let me tell you, I could never pull off something similar.

Louise is receiving plenty of media coverage, yet I personally find her brother Sam more amusing. Initially, I thought Sam was rather dull on ‘Made in Chelsea’, but now I find him laugh-out-loud funny.
It’s undeniable that Louise is in exceptional shape, and her partner resembles the character, The Hulk. However, maintaining such a fit image while on vacation with a film crew seems unrealistic or impractical. Although she looks fantastic, I can’t picture anything more challenging.
In response to the comments, Sam chose to speak up for his sister by creating a video where he asserted that it was only permissible for him to make fun of her.
The duo had a disagreement that grew out of their exchanged remarks, culminating in Vicky temporarily restricting Sam’s access to social media platforms, a situation that lasted for about five years.
Over a span of five years, tensions escalated significantly between us, primarily due to some intense moments. One of these happened when I, being a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother, was reprimanded in the Diary Room for an action that viewers saw – unintentionally touching Jemma Lucy’s nipple while in the house.
Vicky publicly criticized Big Brother’s behavior during her appearance on ‘Big Brother’s Bit on the Side,’ stating: “There seem to be two perspectives on this situation.
Firstly, despite knowing it was a harmless joke, he still felt upset because Jemma understood it was a joke as well, and he hadn’t intended to cause offense.
‘Secondly, because he’s an entitled little rat who is used to always getting what he wants.’

Although Sam and Vicky are acquainted with Pete, they’ve generally avoided crossing paths and seldom share the same space in a room together.
Eventually, in the year 2022, Vicky removed the obstacle for Sam. This occurred unexpectedly when they ran into each other during the premiere of Harry Potter.
On a rare occasion, it was noticed that Sam and Vicky were together, specifically when Vicky attended the live performance of Sam and Pete’s podcast, ‘Staying Relevant,’ at the Hammersmith venue in London.
Nevertheless, things didn’t go quite smoothly for the celebrity; upon arrival, security actually refused her entry due to her over-sized bag.
Though things generally went well for the famous person, there was a hiccup when she arrived and security asked her to leave because her bag was excessively large.
In May this year, when she made an appearance on Staying Relevant, the past uneasy situation was brought up and discussed.
Vicky confessed that she had blocked him long ago, a fact Sam only discovered when they reconnected, attempting to locate her through the app.
The trio laughed if off, with both appearing to have put the feud firmly behind them.
Sources close to Vicky have now insisted she is friends with Sam.
Vicky was the 11th celebrity to be announced to join the 2025 series of Strictly Come Dancing.

During a live broadcast on ITV’s This Morning, the true identity of the television personality was at last unveiled.
She enthusiastically pushed her way through a shimmering cardboard barrier adorned with the Strictly logo, revealing herself to the audience at home as she entered the studio.
She playfully joked, “I don’t have great expectations for my dancing skills. I’m more of a drinker than a dancer. In fact, that’s me acting as the tipsy auntie on the dance floor.
Vicky openly acknowledged that she fully expected to lift the glitterball trophy at the finale, but she firmly believed she wouldn’t be winning it.
Nevertheless, she vowed to put in maximum effort into the series and pour her heart into it, expressing both her enthusiasm and apprehension about joining the well-known television program.
‘I am terrified, can you tell?’ she told hosts Emma Willis and Craig Doyle.
In her statement about joining Strictly, Vicky expressed her excitement saying: “I’m thrilled to pieces to be part of this year’s Strictly Come Dancing cast… but it wouldn’t be honest if I didn’t admit I’m scared stiff. I’m not a born dancer!
Nevertheless, this prospect is truly exciting as it encourages me to venture beyond my familiar boundaries and test myself in entirely novel circumstances. I can only express my sincere hope that I won’t end up appearing overly unskilled or awkward.
