Not Going Out star Katy Wix is set to appear in a brand new family sitcom on Channel 4.
In the upcoming film titled “Pigeon,” the star will be joining forces with Adam Drake from “Extraordinary.” The release date for this production, along with additional cast members, is still to be announced.
Kathryn (Wix), who believed she had all the answers but failed to heed the question, is forced to return from bustling Chester to her family home in South Wales due to unrealized dreams and reckless life decisions.
Here’s one way to rephrase the sentence in a more natural, first-person narrative style:
“I’m eagerly waiting for two familiar figures – my vibrant dance teacher mom, Mandy, who exudes a hint of suburban glamour and craves attention; and Aubrey, my sister who, despite being a teen at heart, is trapped in the body of an adult woman.
The narrative proceeds: “Not far ahead, there’s Roy, her ex from her teenage days. He’s like a large, goofy dog stuck in a grown man’s body. Also living nearby is Rhodri, her father who moved out long ago. He seems to comprehend ‘women’s issues’ only when they are explained using terms typically used for car maintenance.

Speaking of her casting, Wix said Pigeon is a show she has “wanted to make for so long.”
The characters reside within my mind, and I am eagerly looking forward to giving them life on the screen. Many thanks to Channel 4 for placing their faith in me to make this dream a reality! Adam echoed her enthusiasm, saying he is absolutely thrilled, while Drake expressed his happiness as well.
Charlie Perkins, who heads the comedy department at Channel 4, expressed excitement, stating, “We’re eager for viewers to enjoy this unique program. It’s not only culturally relevant but also reminiscent of a familiar family sitcom.
It’s been a pleasure collaborating with Katy, Adam, and Boffola. These individuals are not only brimming with creative ideas but also possess an impressive level of determination and enthusiasm.

In a released statement, Shane Allen, the chief creative officer at Boffola Pictures, commented: “You’ve noticed those seemingly ideal families who express affection toward each other and are always ready to lend a helping hand? They may be perfect for advertisements, but they often fall short when it comes to creating humor.
This sitcom presents an ordinary yet quirky working-class family filled with unusual characters. It’s a joyful portrayal of everyday peculiarities, oddities, and includes at least one character who may not be the sharpest tool in the shed.
Katy and Adam created something reminiscent of “The Royle Family,” as it portrays everyday life much like what happens within their home.
Pigeon is set to air on Channel 4.
