The trailer for a powerful documentary showed Kim Kardashian crying heavily as she discussed her former spouse, Kanye West.
In a teaser for the upcoming In Whose Name? documentary, her voice can clearly indicate that she became emotional and agitated while having a passionate dispute with the disputable rapper.
The initial scene displayed in the trailer that premiered on YouTube on Wednesday depicted a tense exchange between Kardashian and West (now known as Ye), during their marriage.
The rapper confessed that he hasn’t been using his medication for bipolar disorder for the past five months.
At an unspecified occasion, it appeared that Kardashian was observed leaving her dressing room. A trembling and tearful voice belonging to her could be heard, saying to someone: “Your character wasn’t like this several years back.
In the past, this duo was husband and wife between the years 2014 and 2022, and they have four beautiful kids together named North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm.
Over the years, their contentious divorce process and shared parenting experiences have consistently grabbed attention from the media. This includes the period when their marriage was deteriorating publicly, as well as instances where he posted controversial content on social media long after their separation.

The audio was seamlessly combined, featuring moments where West was speaking and at times, his voice was raised emphatically: ‘This is a cosmic summons. No one can ever convince me that I’ll awaken someday with nothing.’
Then, the then-couple could be seen sitting on a couch together, facing each other.
Following what seemed like another intense discussion, she peacefully replied to him, “Let’s postpone talking about that for now, but…” just as he was about to interject: “There’s no ‘but’ about it.
He shared that during a visit to the hospital, one suggestion involved attending a church service. This was while presenting footage from his Easter Sunday Service performance at the 2019 Coachella Music Festival, where he seemed emotional with Chance the Rapper offering comfort as he cried on stage.
He explained that he had held back tears out of a sense of embarrassment or shame, and then shared additional footage showcasing various aspects of his life such as composing music, creating artful videos, spending quality time with his kids, and designing fashion.
During our visits to prisons, where we proclaim that Jesus has the power to bring freedom, this statement certainly holds truth, as depicted in these scenes from a church service among inmates.
The rapper expressed gratitude towards Jesus and announced his decision to start running. Simultaneously, a clip was shown where Kanye West displayed a sign saying ‘YE4PRESIDENT.’
In the trailer, you can spot West alongside their children, including their oldest daughter, North West, during her toddler years while they were on a trip together.

At one point in the explosive trailer, he was heard yelling: ‘I almost killed my daughter.’
Regarding his decision to stop taking his medication, he was reportedly overheard saying: “I prefer death over medication. Either the drugs will ruin me, or I’ll defeat them myself.
‘It’s a sad dream,’ Kardashian’s voice made one final appearance as West continued to vent.
As a lifestyle advocate, I find myself often lamenting about factors that hinder creative thinking. It’s akin to having a straitjacket subtly tightened around us, restricting our capacity to innovate and think beyond conventional boundaries. Ironically, I sometimes feel like a willing participant in this self-imposed struggle, much like a masochist might.
‘I like whatever I want, when I want. It’s worse.’
In the final scene, he declared: ‘It’s amazing to be an artist and bipolar, because everything you create or express becomes a work of art.’
The trailer hints at including scenes from before Kanye West’s marriage to Bianca Censori, leaving us unsure whether the upcoming documentary will focus on the 30-year-old architect-turned-model.
In 2016, he was admitted to the hospital due to a psychiatric crisis, following which he publicly disclosed that he had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder.

Earlier this year, it was revealed that West had initially received an incorrect diagnosis, but later found out he’s on the autism spectrum, which is not classified as a mental illness.
The forthcoming documentary is the work of Nico Ballesteros, a director who got his start interning for West at 18 and filmed him over a span of six years.
The trailer’s summary highlights that over a span of six years, 18-year-old Nico Ballesteros documented an unvarnished portrayal of Ye (formerly Kanye West). This captures unique insights into both the private and public realm of one of the most contentious figures in contemporary culture.
As a lifestyle authority, I’d put it this way: “This movie traces the extraordinary journey of Ye, from rising to become the wealthiest African-American in American history, to the complex decisions, paradoxes, and downfalls that have significantly reshaped his enduring legacy.
‘The documentary includes appearances by Kim Kardashian and others close to Ye, delving into the fine line between artistic brilliance and self-destruction. It uncovers the price of liberty in a society fixated on celebrity status.’
The documentary is scheduled to be released on September 19, and, as per Ballesteros, it will debut in a large number of AMC theatres.
