Eunhwa: Tactical Upgrade Early Analysis – Should you Pull?

She won’t give away her sniping spot anymore, she covered her forehead.

Overview

  • The second part of the support duo for Absolute, alongside Emma: Tactical Upgrade.
  • Unlike Emma, Eunhwa: Tactical Upgrade can function very well on her own.
  • Best B2 in a single slot for Elysion Tower for the foreseeable future.
  • Constant true damage dealer with her basic attacks, as long as she never gets hit mid-burst.
  • In my opinion, the priority of the three. If you are limited in resources, she is the one to get.

Should you Pull?

Eunhwa serves as a B2 Attacker unit, primarily focusing on weakening enemies while also dishing out some damage. She’s usually paired with Emma: Tactical Upgrade for optimal performance, enhancing Vesti: Tactical Upgrade together. However, Eunhwa is quite self-reliant and can be effectively used outside the Absolute team setup.

If funds allow, I suggest obtaining a single copy of Eunhwa: Tactical Upgrade. This character is essential for the entire team, and could even serve as an alternate B2 unit for other teams if you’re not focused on the Absolute Team. Moreover, she currently stands out as the top B2 Elysion Tower unit in a single slot.

Choosing to focus on Eunhwa temporarily alleviates the concern of insufficient resources to nurture all three [individuals/entities], a predicament that commanders who endeavor to manage all three will likely encounter.

Newbie/Incomplete Box Section

As a gamer, I’d put it like this: “Eunhwa, my go-to B2 Attacker Fire unit, is a powerhouse on her own but shines even brighter when paired with Emma. She boosts Vesti’s performance and can dish out debuffs to other teams, making her a valuable asset beyond our squad. In case you’re short on top-tier B2 units, particularly for raids, Eunhwa proves to be quite the reliable substitute!

When teaming up Absolute squad members Emma and Eunhwa, remember they don’t have cool-down periods. This implies you’ll need an additional unit with a cooldown ability to join them. Although this isn’t as significant an issue as it used to be, it’s still worth considering.

Skill 1: Camouflage Scarf

Activates when using Burst Skill. Affects self.

Camouflage provides invisibility, making the user elusive to singled-out assaults for a duration of 5 seconds. However, it loses its effectiveness once the user sustains damage.

Triggers during Full Charge attacks: Self is activated\

Upon entering Full Burst: Self becomes immune to single-target attacks for 5 seconds, but loses effect upon taking damage.\

Camouflage: Self remains undetectable by single-target attacks for 5 seconds, but the effect disappears if self is hit.

When I’m camouflaged, my unique ability kicks in. It’s all about me, after all. Instead of regular attacks, I deal continuous true damage. That number cranks up a solid 42.24%, if you were wondering.

When Eunhwa activates her burst, she wraps herself in her cloak, conferring the Camouflage status on herself. While this effect is active, she becomes invisible to direct attacks and cannot be specifically targeted by singular attackers. This is similar to Viper with Vamp Status or Rosanna with Concealment Status.

Regardless of whether Eunhwa doesn’t utilize her Burst in unusual team compositions like 1 – 2 – 2, the technique for acquiring Camouflage remains effective. During a fully charged attack when it is burst time, the Camouflage effect will be applied to Eunhwa.

When Eunhwa is hidden, her regular attacks will not only inflict genuine damage but also boost the genuine damage she inflicts. This true damage bypasses the enemy’s DEF in the damage calculation, which means that even if a boss has a high defense level, Eunhwa can still deliver effective DPS against them.

During the course of a fight, even though boss attacks that affect Area of Effect (AoE) can break Eunhwa’s Camouflage status, she has the ability to reapply this camouflage by fully charging an attack while Burst Time is still active. Consequently, Eunhwa can consistently inflict true damage during the entire duration of Full Burst Time.

When it’s in Full Burst mode, it affects itself.” or “If it’s in Full Burst mode, it will affect itself.” The key idea is to convey that when the specified condition (Full Burst) occurs, an action takes place (it affects itself).

Skill 2: AS Formation

Activates only when self survives.

AS Formation: Function: Issues a battle-advantageous tactic to target(s).

1. Impact 1: Boosts the critical hit rate of all allies within the same squad by 8.16% persistently.

2. Implication 2: Increases the charge damage dealt by all allies by 41.81% continuously.

3. Consequence 3: Amps up my own Attack power by 42.24% permanently.

Bonus effects when applying LT Formation to self.

Effect 1: The explosion of projectiles increases the damage dealt to allies by 5.11% continually.

Effect 2: The true damage inflicted on allies increases by 30.97% continuously.

In simpler terms, when Emma gets AS Formation from Eunhwa through Tactical Upgrade, she also gains additional advantages.

So, as far as Eunhwa lives, she exclusively aids her fellow squad members by boosting their critical hit rates. Moreover, she enhances both the explosion power for rocket launchers and sharpshooter accuracy for sniper rifles within the squad. On top of that, she significantly elevates her own attack potential.

If Emma: Tactical Upgrade is on the same side, Eunhwa boosts the power of projectile explosions slightly (such as rocket launchers, Rapi’s detachable missiles, and Eunhwa’s Burst and Explosive Round), as well as enhancing the true damage dealt by all team members.

Eunhwa effectively utilizes all these buffs and many of them remain active when Eunhwa fights alone, which is different from Emma who requires Eunhwa to operate efficiently. The only reduction in damage for Eunhwa happens if she’s not with her own self, but she can still perform well independently from the Absolute squad.

In this paraphrase, I tried to maintain the original meaning and make it more conversational while still being easy to read.

Burst: Explosive Round

Cooldown: 20s

This weapon charges in just 0.3 seconds and deals 105.6% of your final attack power as true damage per shot. With a full charge, it can dish out triple the damage! It has a maximum capacity of one round. Upon impact, it releases an explosive bullet that inflicts area-of-effect damage. Hitting a target with this weapon also causes them to take 27.87% more damage for a duration of 10 seconds, an effect known as the Explosive Round.

Instead of her standard sniper rifle, Eunhwa switches to a weapon that fires explosive rounds, inflicting True Damage. Simultaneously, she activates her Camouflage ability from her S1 skill, gaining the benefits of both her own and Emma’s True Damage buffs (if they are on the same team). This special weapon charges incredibly quickly, enabling Eunhwa to discharge it as soon as Burst Time commences. Distinctive from other sniper weapons, this one boasts an area-of-effect component, and its blast radius is quite expansive.

In the trailer, the detonation of her burst hit all visible enemies on the screen.

Adversaries struck by the explosive round will suffer increased damage over the next 10 seconds due to a damage-receiving penalty. Although Eunhwa’s debuff isn’t as potent as that of support units like Blanc or Rosanna: Chic Ocean, she still deals significantly more damage than either of them.

It’s best to unleash the burst when the burst time begins, taking advantage of the 50% damage bonus offered during that period. You can ensure a quick burst release by activating it swiftly, or if you find it difficult to tap on mobile devices, temporarily control Eunhwa, accumulate charge, and then let go as soon as the screen displays “Full Burst“.

Campaign

In her individual capacity, Eunhwa stands as an effective choice for a B2 support unit in campaign. Her damage, even at a B2 level, is impressive. Moreover, certain teammates can benefit from her charge damage boost, and all allies can leverage the true damage debuff she inflicts with her burst attack.

If you’re missing Crown, Grave, or if your support duos are incomplete (for example, Tia and Crown, Naga with Noir and Rouge, Maid Anchor and Mast), Eunhwa can effectively fill in for campaign purposes, even without the rest of Absolute. Unlike many other support duos, Eunhwa is highly self-reliant and can perform exceptionally well on her own.

Arena

As a sniper character, her ability to deal burst damage in player versus player (PvP) is average, but with her burst’s explosion affecting all Nikkes and the added benefit of damage taken, she might have hidden potential. While she may not be strong enough to make it into the Special Arena meta, she could still find a niche in Champion Arena.

It’s challenging to incorporate a purely offensive team without a B3 rating, but Eunhwa could potentially buck the trend, much like how Viper does. More examination is required for confirmation.

Special Interception | Union Raid | Solo Raid

Eunhwa truly excels when she’s part of her own team, yet she can still be effective elsewhere. If you don’t have an interest in the entire Absolute team, lack access to some members, or are unable to complete them within the specified time, Eunhwa can prove useful outside her squad.

Eunhwa could serve as an effective choice for a raid team’s B2 rank, particularly when some members might not have access to top-tier characters such as Crown, Grave, Mari, or fully developed support pairs.

In contrast, Emma truly excels in collaboration with her team. Her abilities synergize effectively with Eunhwa’s, not only amplifying Vesti’s damage but also boosting Eunhwa herself. This combined effort significantly increases true damage dealt by Eunhwa (+104%) and Vesti (+121%) during their turns, making for a powerful combination.

Alongside their other advantages, such as increased critical chance, critical damage, debuff stacking for damage taken, and projectile explosion amplification, these units undeniably prove beneficial. Yet, it’s important to note that they require investment of three units, and are primarily geared towards the Fire element, which is already populated with powerful damage-dealing Nikkes, including Rapi: Red Hood, the top DPS character in the game at present.

Strengths

  • Great DPS for a B2 Attacker Nikke, especially when combined Emma.
  • Works great on her own, doesn’t really need her fellow duo.
  • Damage Taken debuff from burst is valuable to anyone, not just her own squad.
  • Free outfit!! Isn’t she so pretty with that dress?
  • Strongest Elysion B2 within a single slot, for the tower climb. While Maids combined do provide more than Eunhwa, Eunhwa is just one unit to invest in, that doesn’t need to scale up to provide full power.

Weaknesses

  • No cooldown. If used alongside Emma: Tactical Upgrade, it will necessitate an off-burst cooldown unit.
  • A lot of her buffs are mostly to herself.
  • Her damage taken debuff is only applied if she pulls off the burst shot. i.e. If she is stunned by a Sentry rapture before she can do it, it will cause a desync between Full Burst time and the debuff.

Rating

Utilizing Emma: Tactical Upgrade, this evaluation suggests that Eunhwa’s performance is optimized in this setup. While she can certainly manage on her own, the use of this upgrade provides the best playstyle for her.

The best teams for the Absolute squad, overall, are estimated to be these. While Eunhwa performs well individually, it is still considered optimal to utilize her with her own team. This is because she boosts Vesti’s damage and deals more damage herself when used with Emma. Combining all three of them prevents them from competing for members with established teams.

Emma and Eunhwa both boost the power of true damage for their allies significantly. On the other hand, Vesti takes some time to build up his charge before dealing true damage, which means that in battles against certain bosses where inflicting the most possible true damage is crucial, Vesti may need extra help with reducing his charge-up time from either Alice (or Mana!). Alternatively, the Absolute team might opt to bolster Ein, who currently excels at dealing true damage, alongside Vesti.

Eunhwa could step in as a backup B2 for any other team when you’re running low on alternatives. Notably, she operates rather autonomously compared to Emma.

Doll Priority

For a B2 attacker aiming to have high damage output like Eunhwa, it’s suggested to equip her with an SR5 or better Doll when possible, but not necessarily at the top of your priority list. If resources are limited, consider prioritizing other aspects first, especially for sniper characters such as Helm, Alice, Red Hood, Rouge, etc., who might need the Doll more due to their roles in dealing damage.

Skill 2 is where a lot of her buffs reside. It should be prioritized not just for her, but also if using her alongside the full Absolute team.

Investing in burst will mainly affect the damage of the round, while the damage taken debuff goes up slower. Stacks with Emma’s damage taken debuff from S1.
