In the meantime, Brinkley was prominently showcased among the authors: autographing copies of her memoir titled “Uptown Girl,” where she criticizes Cook for his infidelity and the lengthy divorce fight that ensued from it.

Later on, around the year 2012, following a difficult six-year divorce and child custody dispute with Peter, he publicly labeled me as dishonest on live national broadcast.

Upon getting back on my feet, I requested the man’s business card. However, he informed me that he didn’t carry one as he was a local police officer. He suggested that I could get more details by heading to the police station if needed.

The attractive blonde provided more information and ultimately asked Cook to leave, setting off a difficult divorce proceeding and a prolonged court case regarding their adult daughter Sailor, who is 27 years old.

In a series of marriages, Brinkley previously tied the knot with four different partners: Jean-François Allaux, a well-known French artist; Richard Taubman, a successful real estate entrepreneur; and perhaps most noteworthy, singer Billy Joel. Only after these three marriages did she get married to her fourth husband, Cook.

From 1985 to 1994, Brinkley and Joel were wedded, and they have a daughter named Alexa Ray, who joined their family in the same year, 1985.

At present, she is not married and has expressed reservations in public about potentially getting married for a fifth time. During a recent conversation with Kristin Davis on her podcast, she jokingly proposed that marriages should have a five-year trial period.

In a conversation with the host of Are You A Charlotte?, the 71-year-old expressed, “Perhaps we might consider getting married, but let’s revisit that possibility in five years to decide if it’s something we both still desire.

Every five years, we’ll check in and ask if you’d like to continue. This way, if you ever feel it’s time for a change or need a break, you can easily exit without having to involve lawyers and other complications.

In a contrasting turn of events, Cook, without any reservations, wedded his significantly younger spouse in a private ceremony held in Capri during the year 2023.

At her outdoor wedding at age 20, the radiant bride donned an exquisite hand-embroidered gown designed by Lee Grebenau from Israel, along with a pair of Aquazzura footwear, as she said “I do” to Cook.

In an interview with People magazine following the ceremony, Jancou, who is a year younger than her stepdaughter Sailor, expressed that the wedding was both “romantically beautiful” and visually “striking.

She expressed that getting married in Capri seems like a dream for most people since both of us deeply admire Italy as our preferred country.
