The 2022 biographical film “The Electrical Life of Louis Wain,” featuring Benedict Cumberbatch and Tobey Jones, is on its way to finding a new streaming platform for viewers in the UK.
The movie centers around its main character, who experiences monumental triumphs in selling his peculiar feline-themed abstract artworks. However, amidst these victories, he endures some profoundly sad personal setbacks.
Noteworthy is that the film is helmed by Will Sharpe, who plays a significant role in the second season of “The White Lotus.
On this coming Saturday, the 17th of August, you can catch the movie on Channel 4 at 10:10 PM. After its initial broadcast, it will become accessible for streaming on Channel 4’s online platform starting from the early hours of Sunday morning.
At the time of writing, it isn’t available on any other subscription service.

In Digital Spy‘s own review of the film, we called it one of Cumberbatch’s best.
In a surprising twist, the film initially appears as a whimsical biographical drama, but eventually evolves into a deeply touching and human portrayal.
If you’ve watched director Will Sharpe’s series called “Flowers”, then the mix of tones in “The Electrical Life of Louis Wain” won’t come as a shock. Similar to that show, “The Electrical Life of Louis Wain” understands that amidst life’s deepest sorrows, there can still be laughter, and this movie will leave you laughing just as much as it makes you cry.

Towards the close of this month, the dark comedy “The Roses” starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Olivia Colman will hit movie theaters.
Apart from that, he’s set to release another drama titled “The Thing with Feathers” in November, which appears poised to be quite an emotionally stirring production.
As a gaming enthusiast diving into the world of TV shows, I’m excited to share that “The Electrical Life of Louis Wain” is hitting Channel 4 this coming Saturday! After the live broadcast, you can easily stream it for your convenience. Can’t wait to watch it together with fellow fans! 😊
The latest print issue from Digital Spy is out now! You can purchase the Oasis – Live in ’25 special edition at your local newsstands or online, for only £8.99.
