TOWIE star Clelia Theodorou bravely shows her scars two years after breaking her legs in horror car crash which killed her beloved mother

Clelia Theodorou bravely showed her scars two years after being in a horror car crash.

In a harrowing incident in May 2023, the former TOWIE celebrity, aged 30, who sadly lost her mother due to an accident, endured fractures in both legs and feet. This unfortunate event required her to be hospitalized.

Two years on, Clelia took to Instagram to share a heartfelt post with her followers.

In the photos, Clelia was seen sporting a stylish white mini dress while spending a delightful day at the park with her daughter Cielo, whom she shares with her partner Tommy Cole.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share my personal journey: I’ve been hesitant to share this photo, as it features scars that I’ve kept hidden until now. Authenticity is important to me, so I want to be open about the fact that it hasn’t always been easy to cope with these marks, both physically and emotionally. Despite my desire to simply move forward and pretend everything is fine, I’ve had to face challenges and work through them diligently.

Overnight, my body transformed significantly, and each surgery has caused more changes, which I’ve found challenging to accept. It’s only been in the last few weeks that I’ve mustered the courage to show my legs in public (and with this current heatwave, it’s almost unavoidable).

I’ve got about twelve scars in all, and I feel it’s high time I step up and reveal them because, despite their impact on me, I’m back on my feet now. I can enjoy strolls at the park with Cici and regain a sense of normal life again. At one point, this seemed unimaginable, but here we are walking together in the park, creating memories.

As I navigate through life, I’ve learned that some marks, both physical and emotional, remain etched upon me. Accepting these changes is a daily journey, one that can be challenging on certain days, while other times it feels more manageable.

She concluded by emphasizing that trauma can affect you deeply, inside and out, and it’s undeniable. However, she aims to be open about her ongoing recovery journey, sharing her feelings honestly with everyone. She wants to assure everyone that it’s normal not to feel great every day, but there are better days ahead as well.

Approximately only a few months have passed since Clelia paid a touching tribute to her deceased mother Gill, who was tragically killed in a serious car accident two years ago, around Mother’s Day.

The television personality expressed a deeply felt sentiment, acknowledging that life feels different without you and her heart will continue to mourn eternally.

Underneath a touching message, there were numerous black-and-white photos shared to mark the occasion, one of which depicted a smiling Clelia giving her mother a warm embrace.

In the heartfelt Instagram message posted on Sunday, Clelia did not forget to express her gratitude towards her two-year-old daughter, Cielo, whom she described as her most significant accomplishment.

As an overjoyed fanatic, I can’t help but gush about the heartwarming throwback photo she shared! In this precious snapshot, she tenderly holds the freshly born baby, and in other snaps, she’s seen sleeping sweetly beside the tiny tot, capturing a moment as she gently showers her with affectionate kisses. Absolutely adorable, don’t you think? 😊

She expressed her deep emotions by writing, ‘Cielo, you exceed all my dreams and are the highlight of my life – thank you for being the reason behind everything; making me a mother is my greatest achievement.’

Expressing herself with heartfelt emotions, she went on to say: ‘My lovely mother, life feels different without you by my side.’

Each passing day, I feel the longing for you growing stronger. Time doesn’t seem to heal the pain; instead, it highlights even more the void that your absence has left in my heart. My heart’s sorrow may persist forever.

‘Happy Mothers Day to all your incredible muma’s.’

Recently last week, Clelia disclosed that she had to endure additional surgery, which is now her second operation since sustaining severe injuries in a devastating car accident two years ago.

Clelia shared photos on her Instagram Stories, captured from her hospital bed and connected to an IV, as she prepared for surgery on her fractured legs following last year’s tragic accident.

As a lifestyle expert, I’d rephrase it like this: Following a challenging day, I’m eagerly looking forward to returning home to my precious little one, Cielo, and her father, Tommy Cole. It’s been just seven months since we experienced an unexpected turn of events, yet every moment with these two has made the journey all worthwhile.

Later on, I felt compelled to assure my cherished fans: ‘Indeed, I underwent another surgical procedure today, dear friends. It wasn’t an emergency situation, so there’s no need for concern. I appreciate your kind thoughts.’

After returning home from the surgery, Clelia posted a picture of her bandaged foot on social media. She slightly blurred the image before sharing it and captioned it as a token of gratitude, “Thanks for your kind thoughts.

Before adding: ‘You guys are so lovely. At home and dosed up on painkillers’.

Previously, Clelia confessed that she might not possess enough fortitude to divulge every detail about the harrowing car accident experience.

During a question-and-answer session on Instagram, she revealed distressing images of herself in the hospital during recovery and explained that the incident’s specifics are still too emotionally raw for her to delve into at this time.

A curious fan inquired, “Might you discuss your accident and the events that followed?” To which she responded with a hint of reluctance, “I’m hesitant to do so as it is quite challenging for me.

In due time, I might share my experiences, but they are still quite fresh and painful. I can confide in my loved ones about them, but discussing them with someone unfamiliar or revisiting the events is an immense struggle for me.
