On Wednesday, President Trump revealed the recipients of this year’s Kennedy Center honors, which include Sylvester Stallone, George Strait, and Michael Crawford. Additionally, he expressed his intention to personally preside over the event.

As a dance enthusiast and proud alum of the ballroom scene, I shared my thrill with The Times yesterday about the extraordinary opportunities this magical world has bestowed upon me.

Hough announced that he’s moving into a fresh role as the host of ‘Extra.’ He expressed his eagerness about working alongside this remarkable team, exploring a new creative avenue, and interacting with fans and viewers in a novel manner.

In May, Bush shared on his “Hot Mics” podcast that he wouldn’t continue as the host of “Extra” following his tenure since 2019. Previously a correspondent and co-anchor for “Access Hollywood,” who was embroiled in a hot mic scandal with presidential candidate Donald Trump in 2016, has chosen to concentrate on his individual project instead.

In May, Bush commented that ‘Extra’ is deeply entrenched in popular culture. He added that if he received a dollar each time someone shouted “Extra Extra” to him at an airport or similar places, he would purchase Warner Bros. studios.

As a devoted movie enthusiast, I’m sad to share that the vivacious Danielle Spencer, who captivated us all as the spunky little sister Dee in the beloved ’70s sitcom ‘What’s Happening!!,’ passed away on Monday following her courageous battle against cancer. She was only 60 years old. Her enchanting performances will forever remain etched in our memories.

Hough is a renowned dancer and choreographer who won an Emmy Award. Acting-wise, he’s graced the screens on shows like ABC’s “Nashville” and Disney+’s “High School Musical: The Musical.” Since Season 29, he’s been a judge on “DWTS,” sharing the panel with Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.

Jeremy Spiegel, producer of ‘Extra’, declared on Wednesday that Derek isn’t just a dance powerhouse; he’s become a cherished figure, winning over America with his skill, charm, and endless ingenuity,” according to a statement made to The Times.

I’m really looking forward to collaborating intimately with Derek, as he infuses our show ‘Extra’ with his contagious enthusiasm and novel outlook.

The television series “Extra” will make its return on September 8, airing on Fox. Meanwhile, Hough remains in his role as lead judge on “Dancing with the Stars.
