It’s fair to note that Pedro Pascal is experiencing a remarkable year in his career. He’s starring in one of the most anticipated TV shows of 2025, “The Last of Us” Season 2, and he also has significant roles in two of the most highly-anticipated films of the same year. The former “Game of Thrones” actor has been quite busy! While discussions about “The Fantastic Four: The First Steps” are widespread, there’s one film that seems to have gone unnoticed-the intriguing “Freaky Tales”.

Freaky Tales Is A Wild And Blood-Soaked Anthology Film Will All Kinds Of Surprises
Rest assured, you won’t encounter any surprises beyond what the Freaky Tales trailer has already hinted at. However, let me make clear that this is an intense anthology film, featuring four stories: “Strength in Numbers: The Gilman Strikes Back,” “Don’t Fight the Feeling,” “Born to Mack,” and “The Legend of Sleepy Floyd.” These tales all share a distinct connection, promising a rollercoaster ride of campiness, violence, and pure fun.
Furthermore, Freaky Tales offers quite a few unexpected moments. Some of the outrageous guest appearances, like the one that’s left me chuckling for days, combined with pop culture nods and one surprise after another, make this wild anthology movie truly unique!

Like The Last Of Us And The Fantastic Four, Pedro Pascal Plays A Father Forced To Make A Grave Decision
Pedro Pascal has recently portrayed several compelling father figures in various roles, such as in “The Wild Robot,” “The Fantastic Four: The First Steps,” “The Last of Us,” “The Mandalorian,” and more recently, “Freaky Tales.” In this film, the sought-after actor, who regrettably had to withdraw from another highly anticipated 2025 horror production titled “Weapons,” takes on the role of a former enforcer facing a critical decision following the birth of his first child.
Without spoiling anything, his character encounters a difficult situation with only one extremely violent solution available.

I Honestly Don’t Know How This Flew Under The Radar
When penning a list of upcoming 2025 action flicks that piqued my curiosity, I ensured to mention “Freaky Tales”, as its unique concept and talented cast had me eager to discover its outcome. To this day, it’s hard to find anyone else who has seen this movie, leaving me puzzled about how it managed to stay hidden for such a long time.
This film, directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck, known for their work on Captain Marvel and Masters of the Air, boasts an impressive cast including Jay Ellis as NBA legend Sleepy Floyd, Dominique Thorne from Ironheart, Ben Mendelsohn, and the late Angus Cloud. The graphic violence in this production is unlike anything I’ve seen this year. With it now streaming on HBO Max, perhaps more people will get to experience it.
As a fellow enthusiast, I’d strongly encourage you not to procrastinate on watching “Freaky Tales” like I did. This outrageously entertaining anthology movie is something you wouldn’t want to let slip through your fingers!
