The filming for “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is in full gear (no intended play on words). Filming started earlier this month abroad, with Destin Daniel Cretton directing. Tom Holland, the leading actor, has returned to work and shared a complete view of his new costume through a behind-the-scenes video. The BTS sneak peeks continue as Holland posted another clip, capturing his first day on set. Although the footage is impressive, I must say that I truly enjoy Holland’s thoughts about starting filming.
Indeed, numerous Marvel films are filmed on sound stages for reasons beyond just secrecy – practicality plays a significant role too. Concerning the upcoming movie Brand New Day, its debut filming day unfolded not within studios but on the streets of Glasgow, Scotland. As such, enthusiastic fans have been treated to a plethora of behind-the-scenes photos and videos that have spread like wildfire across social media platforms. Honestly, I must admit that watching the enthusiastic admirers on set has given me a touch of envy, often referred to as FOMO. It’s clear why so many people are eager to be there for the shoot, and now they all hold a piece of Marvel Cinematic Universe’s history. Despite being surrounded by smiling faces, what truly captivates me is the genuine enthusiasm and appreciation the Spider-Man actor shows in that video. His feelings towards his role and the fans are palpable, expressing both excitement and gratitude.
Today marks my fourth debut as Spider-Man, and I must admit, something feels unique about slipping into the suit this time around. What’s more, today is the first day we’ve ever had fans on set during our opening day, making it all the more thrilling to have them along for the ride. Familiar faces abound on set, and I’ll do my utmost to deliver a stellar performance without adding unnecessary pressure.
This version aims to maintain the original meaning while using simpler sentence structures and more natural language.

In essence, there are several compelling factors that have fans eagerly anticipating the release of Brand New Day. The new Spider-Man suit worn by Peter Parker is certainly intriguing, but it’s not just about the suit. The return of fan-favorite Frank Castle, portrayed once more by Jon Bernthal as The Punisher, adds to the excitement. Moreover, Mark Ruffalo will reprise his role as Bruce Banner, a.k.a. Smart Hulk, making an appearance in the film. Additionally, Michael Mando is back as Mac Gargan, also known as the Scorpion, and he shared a delightful photo to mark his return.
Following a long period of anticipation, it’s reassuring for me to learn that the fourth film in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man series is now being filmed. What makes this particularly delightful at the moment is that Holland appears to be enjoying the process with a positive attitude. Here’s wishing that Holland and his team’s filming goes smoothly, and they manage to create something innovative, thrilling, and emotionally resonant.
