Country singer Lainey Wilson is bringing her Whirlwind tour to Australia and New Zealand in 2026

Country singer Lainey Wilson is heading to Australia and New Zealand in February 2026.

The artist behind “Heart Like a Truck” will put on performances in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth to mark the release of the deluxe version of their album titled Whirlwind.

Australia and New Zealand, I’m excited to bring my Whirlwind World Tour to your shores in 2026, and I can’t wait to see you all in attendance! This was announced via an Instagram post on Sunday.

Public ticket sales for Tickets & VIP Packages will begin this coming Friday, August 15th, at 12 noon local time. However, you’ll have the chance to secure your presale tickets earlier, starting from next Tuesday, August 12th.

Lainey is scheduled to give a show in Auckland on the 6th of February, followed by another one in Christchurch two days later. After that, she’s planning to travel to Australia and perform in Brisbane on the 11th of February.

In addition to Newcastle on the 14th of February, she’ll be performing in Sydney on the 16th, Melbourne on the 19th, and Adelaide on the 22nd. Her tour concludes in Perth on the 26th of February.

General tickets go on sale from 1pm local time on Friday 15th August.

The show aligns with the upcoming release of a deluxe version of her album “Whirlwind,” set for release on August 22.

It features five new songs including Somewhere Over Laredo and Bell Bottoms Up.

Recently, Lainey has been nominated for two Grammy Awards in 2024 – one for Country Album of the Year and another for the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category.

In 2023, Lainey received numerous nominations and won several awards, among them being nine Country Music Association Awards nominations. She went on to win the prestigious Entertainer of the Year award, as well as four other categories, matching a record set in 1969 for the most awards won in one year.

At the 2023 CMA Awards, Lainey garnered an unprecedented nine nominations, more than any other artist that year. Not only did she receive these numerous nods, but she also took home five awards, among them the prestigious Entertainer of the Year title.

Over the past few releases, she has achieved two number-one hits on the Country charts – ‘Watermelon Moonshine’ and a collaboration with Jelly Roll titled ‘Save Me’. This brings her total to five and six number-one singles this decade, making her the female artist with the highest number of number-one songs during this timeframe.

Her highly praised album, Bell Bottom Country, climbed its way onto Billboard’s Top Album Chart and Country Albums Chart, accumulating more than 700 million streams so far. This achievement has granted her the titles of CMA and ACM Album of the Year, as well as a nomination for Grammy’s Country Album of the Year.

Wilson has been recognized for her expanding body of work by receiving the Rulebreaker Award at Billboard’s Women in Music Awards. More recently, she has partnered with Wrangler to serve as the ambassador for their autumn-winter 2023 women’s clothing line.

In the fifth season, she first appeared on the popular TV show Yellowstone, portraying a musical character named Abby for the first time.

On the show, she debuted her self-composed piece titled “Smell Like Smoke,” and also performed some of her more recent tracks like “Watermelon Moonshine” and “Hold My Halo.
