Spider-Man: Brand New Day Adds Star Trek Star to Cast

Spider-Man: Brand New Day, also known as Spider-Man 4, has added a new cast member.

The latest Spider-Man film titled “Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day” is being made right now. Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, who was behind “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” this movie will feature Tom Holland once again as Peter Parker/Spider-Man. Zendaya and Jacob Batalon are also set to return in their roles as Michelle “MJ” Jones-Watson and Ned Leeds, respectively.

Scrofano is recognized for her roles, including Captain Marie Batel in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, the lead character in Wynonna Earp on Syfy, Dana Cypress in Syfy’s Revival series, and Mrs. McMurray in Letterkenny.

In terms of her movie roles, Scrofano’s film career spans from Saw VI in 2009 to more recent productions like The End of Sex in 2022, with notable appearances in Citizen Gangster (2011), RoboCop (2014), Ready or Not (2019), and The Silencing (2020). She has been part of several other films as well.

At present, it’s not yet known which character Scrofano will portray in Spider-Man: Brand New Day, as the specifics of the movie plot are still confidential. Similarly, Sadie Sink from Stranger Things and Liza Colón-Zayas from The Bear have also been cast in undisclosed roles.

In the upcoming Marvel Studios film, Jon Bernthal reappears as Frank Castle/Punisher, and Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner/Hulk also has a part to play. Additionally, Michael Mando’s Mac Gargan/Scorpion is making a comeback in the MCU; this character was first introduced in Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2017 but hasn’t been seen since then.

Doomsday will be released on December 18, 2026, and then, a year later on December 17, 2027, we can expect the arrival of the sequel named Avengers: Secret Wars.
