Donald Trump fantasized about using Taylor Swift’s ‘star power’ to rule the world in resurfaced clip

A video of Donald Trump praising Taylor Swift is becoming popular once more – this comes shortly after he made a comment about her on the internet.

On Monday, Trump commended Sydney Sweeney’s contentious American Eagle jeans commercial – a campaign that has drawn criticism for seemingly endorsing ‘eugenic values’ – by labeling it as the “MOST APPEALING” advertisement available, following his discovery that she identifies as a Republican voter.

In that instance, he seized the opportunity to criticize what he referred to as ‘progressive’ advertising, rekindling his ongoing dispute with Swift by stating that she has lost her appeal.

Currently, a video from the 2011 CMT Music Awards is gaining popularity, capturing a distinctly contrasting demeanor from Trump towards Taylor Swift compared to his later behavior.

In the initial scene, there’s a satirical take on Thelma & Louise, starring Taylor Swift and Shania Twain instead. In this version, Donald Trump is depicted reading a paper with a headline about these two ‘iconic personalities’. His expression suggests he’s quite taken aback by the news.

He stated that if he could combine the influence of these two remarkable women, he would have the ability to rule the world. They’re truly extraordinary.

A previously unreleased video clip emerged on an Instagram account dedicated to Taylor Swift fans, prompting a swift response from fans on either side of the spectrum.

A defender spoke up for Swift, penning, ‘Despite what Donald Trump might claim about her, we devoted fans, among whom I count myself, adore Taylor Swift and stand by her against Donald Trump’s unfavorable remarks.’

Others, however, sided with Trump.

‘Well… things change! I’m a Swiftie, but I’m also MAGA,’ one person commented.

Another added, ‘This was back when Taylor wasn’t woke. She changed and became woke.’

The events began only a few hours following Trump discovering the alleged political stance of Euphoria’s actor, Sweeney.

Wasting no time, the former president took to Truth Social early Monday to weigh in.

Sydney Sweeney, who is a registered Republican, posted that she has one of the most popular ads currently running – it’s for American Eagle. The jeans in this ad are selling incredibly quickly.

He added, ‘Go get ‘em Sydney!’

Trump took advantage of the post to critique what he referred to as ‘woke’ advertisements, before swiftly shifting focus towards Taylor Swift.

‘For instance, consider Taylor Swift, who identifies as a Woke singer. After expressing my dislike for her (which is strong) on TRUTH, he made this statement.’

‘She was booed out of the Super Bowl and became, NO LONGER HOT.’

Trump concluded his outburst by stating that ‘being WOKE is for those who lose’ and emphasizing that ‘the Republican Party is the group you aspire to belong to.’

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but reflect on a intriguing statement that surfaced in Trump’s social media posts back in May. He made a bold claim that caught my attention: “Has anyone noticed that, ever since I declared ‘I can’t stand Taylor Swift,’ she seems to have lost her ‘hot’ status?” It’s fascinating, isn’t it?

The remark references yet another Truth Social post from Trump.

After Taylor Swift endorsed Kamala Harris in September 2024, Trump responded by tweeting, ‘I can’t stand Taylor Swift!’)
