Robert De Niro has built an impressive acting career, spanning more than six decades and boasting around 120 roles in various productions.

Even after many years in the spotlight, the A-lister continued to astonish people with his latest performance.

In an unusual step, the venerable 81-year-old figure, known for recent remarks on parenthood, displayed his slender legs during a solo adventure in New York City on Tuesday.

The actor who played the lead role in Goodfellas appeared slim, sporting a set of khaki cargo shorts, as he leisurely walked around Manhattan.

Additionally, Robert put on a gray hat that coordinated with his track jacket, which he wore over a simple white t-shirt. He also slipped into a pair of black Sketchers.

With a touch of beard growth and wearing his distinctive glasses, he confidently flaunted his silver hair.

No doubt being a father of a young child has kept the star active. 

Just months ago the A-lister revealed what he thinks the most important rule of parenting is.

The well-known figure from Hollywood has seven children as offspring, the youngest being a two-year-old daughter named Gia, who he co-parents with his partner, Tiffany Chen, who is 45 years old.

A veteran parent, having graced the Cannes Film Festival, emphasized that the most important aspect is providing support for one’s children.

Speaking with Entertainment Tonight in June, he emphasized: “It’s important to support them, as far as they’re not causing harm to themselves, engaging in destructive activities, or similar behavior – this is non-negotiable.

In a similar vein, the actor from A Bronx Tale emphasized, ‘Regardless of whether you agree or not, it’s crucial to show your support. They should feel your backing, and this unwavering support is essential.’

In his extraterrestrial chat, the experienced performer additionally shared insights about his youngest offspring, who joined their family in April 2023.

The father beamed with pride, exclaiming, ‘She’s nothing but pure happiness!’ At two years old, she’s growing up, but each passing day still brings such delight. It’s just an overwhelming joy, there are no words for it!

It comes after he admitted that he does not change his baby’s diapers. 

In response to the Sunday Times in January, he stated that he had a habit of this before. Every morning, he would watch Miss Rachel with her, and he’d also feed her her bottle.

Besides Gia, the performer is also a parent to Drena (age 57), Raphael (age 48), the twin brothers Julian and Aaron (both aged 29), Elliot (age 27), and Helen (age 14).

In the course of his life, he had two children through his marriage to Diahann Abbott. Later, he was blessed with twins while in a relationship with Toukie Smith.

Elliot and Helen have been co-parenting with his former wife, Grace Hightower, whom he married in 1997 and parted ways with in 2018.

2023 saw Robert De Niro expressing his joy on The Today Show about welcoming his seventh child, saying, “It’s an amazing feeling.
