British Grammy winner reveals teenage drug battle left her with speech problems and a driving ban

In her latest TikTok update, she disclosed that her slow speech is due to the excessive drug use she engaged in during her teenage years.

Additionally, she elaborated on other challenges she encounters currently, stating: ‘I am unable to secure car insurance due to my past driving ban.’

As a devoted admirer, I can’t help but express my excitement over the artist, known for chart-topping anthems such as Rather Be, Rockabye, and Symphony, revealing that their newest single is particularly meaningful. This piece, in her own words, serves as a daily reminder to appreciate blessings, making each new day even more precious.

In reference to the song featuring South African artist Lloyiso, she expressed with the caption ‘I believe in us’: ‘Indeed, I believe in our abilities. Grateful for all my blessings, I stand tall, kind, truthful I am.’

Her candid post resonated with fans, racking up more than 180,000 likes. 

Last year, following their number one hit, a British band suffered an unexpected theft in Ibiza, resulting in the loss of £35,000 worth of gear and money.

The band jet-setted off to a lively Spanish island party destination, where they collaborated with renowned DJ David Guetta on filming the music video for their hit single ‘Cry Baby’.

But upon their return from dinner, they found themselves in a disastrous situation when they noticed that an intruder had forced open the window, making off with the cameras, computers, and cash.

In an interview with The Sun, band member Grace disclosed details of their experience. They revealed that while shooting video footage alongside David in his studio, they spent the night at a friend’s place.

Jack and Luke Patterson, two other group members, had returned to London for video editing, leaving Grace behind. However, upon returning to their hotel to retrieve the lenses, Grace discovered the unfortunate incident.

Although they were initially frightened to stay at their hotel after the robbery, the musician felt somewhat reassured as well.

She emphasized: ‘What mattered most was ensuring the footage was secure, as it was something that couldn’t be replaced.’

Meanwhile, the group hoped to get the stolen £35,000 back on insurance. 

They aim to return to the music world and release their initial album in six years, which is 2025. After facing difficulties regaining their footing due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, they are looking forward to getting back on track with new music.

Throughout their professional journey, the band has managed to secure ten top ten singles, starting with Rather Be, a collaboration with Jess Glynne, at number 35 on the charts.
