Lisa Faulkner recently hinted at a mysterious movie production she’s involved with, as she resumed work after the controversy surrounding her husband John Torode‘s termination from BBC.
John, her husband who is 60 years old, lost his job at MasterChef recently due to accusations of racism that surfaced last month. This decision came after it was confirmed that a claim made against him, concerning his colleague Gregg Wallace, was found to be valid during an investigation.
Without explicitly naming the specific project, Lisa, aged 53, shared a stylish self-portrait after an enigmatic photo session.
‘I wanted to post a picture from today’s photo shoot. It was delightful to witness my @justwade makeup, @lill_lis cooking and conversing, as well as filming with such a wonderful team ♥️’
Lisa shared a picture from the back of a car on Monday morning and said she was heading to work.
As an overly enthusiastic fan, I can’t help but share my excitement about the dynamic duo I follow – they’re none other than the charismatic co-hosts of ITV’s John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen! Not only do they grace our screens together on that show, but my admiration extends even further as my beloved Lisa also contributes her culinary wisdom to Lorraine. Simply put, she’s a gastronomic powerhouse, and I can’t get enough of their shows!

In light of recent developments, I found myself reflecting on the situation unfolding at a popular broadcasting company, following the unexpected exit of a well-known figure. Interestingly enough, it was subsequently disclosed that the same network, ITV, where this individual also hosts programs, had been vocal in their support for him.
According to our sources at ITV, they plan to keep airing the tenth season of John and Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen instead of canceling it from their programming lineup.
In 2019, a well-liked cooking program debuted, starring Lisa and John who share their favorite dishes on screen.
According to our ITV contact, there are no adjustments to the current programming. Therefore, ‘John and Lisa’s Weekends’ will air as scheduled and can be expected on the airwaves for the upcoming three weeks.
Additionally, it’s been arranged that the broadcaster will invite John back towards the end of the year, featuring him in John & Lisa’s Christmas Kitchen during the month of December.
The Australian contestant on MasterChef was unexpectedly dismissed – just a few hours following the BBC’s top executive declining to support him regarding a claim of racial bias.
As a devoted follower, I must share that the corporation has announced they will not extend the host’s contract following a revelation about his inappropriate language. It appears he employed a highly offensive racial slur during post-production social gatherings, which was uncovered in a report.
The report on Gregg’s inappropriate behavior disclosed that John had been accused.

Gregg, 60, was sacked after dozens of complaints against him were upheld.
Last month, it emerged that John acknowledged being the anonymous individual in the report who faced allegations of employing racist speech.
In my perspective as a lifestyle guide, I must share that when asked about the event, they expressed having no memory of it whatsoever. Moreover, they appeared uncertain about its occurrence.
In their statement, the BBC confirmed that an accusation, involving a highly offensive racial slur being utilized within the workplace, was thoroughly probed and validated by the Lewis Silkin law firm’s independent investigation.
‘The BBC takes this upheld finding extremely seriously.
‘We have a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of racist language, and we have informed Banijay UK, the creators of MasterChef, that they must take appropriate action. As a result, John Torode’s contract on MasterChef will not be renewed.’
Prior to the announcement, BBC Director General Tim Davie declined to support John and indicated that he anticipated some form of action would be initiated in response to the accusation.
He made his speech while the BBC published their yearly report, which was once again marred by scandals in its second consecutive year.
He spoke during the release of the BBC’s annual report, an event tainted by controversies for two years straight.
Lastly:
He gave his speech on the day the BBC published their annual report, an occasion that had been overshadowed by scandals in the past two years.

The publication from last year emerged during the aftermath of Huw Edwards, a news presenter, admitting to owning inappropriate images of minors.
When queried about the John racism controversy, Tim Davie responded: ‘The BBC’s stance on this matter is straightforward – if an individual fails to adhere to our values, we trust that the autonomous company, Banijay in this instance, will take appropriate action and keep us informed about their responses.’
‘These are not BBC employees, but we absolutely expect action to be taken.’
Tim commented: “A fantastic TV show that captivates viewers is far more than just its individual parts. It has the power to thrive and succeed, but it’s crucial that we align ourselves properly with the show’s cultural context.
According to a reliable source near John, there were claims that he employed a racially insensitive phrase during casual post-filming drinks. The eyewitness declared that he swiftly apologized, expressing deep regret, and insisted that he didn’t intend it as an offensive slur.
At the time, no one voiced any complaints, yet during the investigation concerning Gregg, it was mentioned.
After being let go, John expressed his hope that he would be able to contribute to his departure from a program he’s been part of since its re-launch in 2005. However, recent developments appear to have made that impossible.
He enjoyed every moment while working on the show, but now it’s time for someone else to take over.
He cherished each second spent on the show, yet it’s now another’s turn to wield the tools.
Or even more casual:
He was all in for every minute on the show, but it’s time for someone else to step up and lead.
He noted that life is always evolving and progressing, and at times, our own contentment and satisfaction may be found somewhere other than where we currently are.
