As a devoted fan, I’m thrilled to share that “The Battle Cats,” my beloved tower defense game from PONOS, has just announced a time-limited collaboration with none other than Sonic the Hedgehog and his fabulous friends! This exciting partnership is a celebration of the whimsical feline soldiers who have been invading our screens and winning our hearts for ten years now, entertaining over 100 million players worldwide. Can’t wait to see what fun surprises this collaboration brings!

The event happening now will last from August 4th to August 18th, 2025. It showcases beloved and vintage maps from the Sonic series, along with a special Capsule gacha that includes ultra-rare characters such as Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow. Additionally, there will be some feline variants of these characters too!

From Green Hill Zone to Catclaw Dojo

In this remarkable team-up between “The Battle Cats” and “Sonic the Hedgehog and his pals,” there are five fresh maps on offer. Leading the pack is the legendary Green Hill Zone, Chemical Plant Zone, and Sky Sanctuary, which can be accessed via the Legend Stages. These stages come with an additional 5 stages each for you to conquer, where you’ll encounter characters from the Sonic series as formidable foes.

Alternatively, embark on the “Radical Highway” for massive rewards once you’ve conquered all its 20 Gauntlet Levels, which can also be accessed through Legend Stages. Lastly, compete in the “Arena of Honor” via the “Catclaw Dojo” within Sonic Battle!

In this global tournament, you compete by comparing your top scores with other players. Don’t forget to log in every day and explore the collaboration for a chance to claim daily incentives from the Cat Base within the app. On day 5, you’ll even get to unlock the unique Tails Cat unit at no cost!

Make Way for Sonic, the new Cat in Town

As a gamer, I’d say: Give the Sonic Collab Capsules a spin to unveil temporary characters like Sonic transforming into Sonic & Cat, Tails turning into Tails & Cat, Knuckles morphing into Knuckles & Cat, and lastly, Shadow changing into Shadow & Cat.

Additionally, you’ll discover the feline-themed variations of Sonic and Shadow, known as “Sonic Kitty” and “Shadow Kitty.” These transform into “Sonic Kitty CC” and “Shadow Kitty CC,” respectively.

This version aims to make the text more accessible by using simpler language and replacing technical terms (like “Uber Rares”) with more common or descriptive phrases (“feline-themed variations”). The evolution stages are also made clearer for easier understanding.

Not only that, but Tails also gets a feline version called “Tails Cat”. This character serves as a unique reward for logging in each day, specifically on the fifth day. Over time, it transforms into “Tails Cat CC”.

I’ve never come across The Battle Cats before, but let me tell you, it’s purr-fectly captivating! This tower defense game has an army of bizarre and quirky cats just waiting for me to recruit and train them to conquer the world!
