Lily Collins rocks floral print trousers while cradling a huge bouquet of flowers as she continues to film scenes for the fifth season of Emily in Paris

On Monday, Lily Collins maintained a chic appearance while shooting scenes for the fifth season of Emily in Paris, right in the heart of the French capital.

Outside a flower shop, the actress, aged 36, who portrays marketing executive Emily Cooper on screen, was seen tenderly holding a large bunch of pink and white blossoms.

She turned heads in a pair of cropped floral print trousers with a red and white knitted top.

The star added brown Adidas trainers and toted her belongings in a straw basket bag.

As I engaged in a lively discussion with the store proprietor, I found myself juggling a reusable white net bag brimming with fresh produce and other essentials.

In the forthcoming series, Emily will find herself balancing a prospective life in Rome with her previous existence in Paris.

At the conclusion of season four, Emily found herself faced with a choice: she was given the opportunity to assume the role of head at the Italian branch of Agence Grateau.

Even though Emily grew fond of both Paris and her workplace, she found herself drawn towards the prospect of a fresh start – along with a new romantic partner – in the enchanting city of Rome.

Fans may recall that Emily and Gabriel, played by Lucas Bravo, ended up splitting up following an attempt to revive their romantic connection once Gabriel had parted ways with Camille.

After a false pregnancy rumor surfaced, Camille admitted that she was not actually pregnant. Emily and Gabriel then sought to build a romantic future together.

Yet, it wasn’t destined to be for the lovers whose disagreements remained unresolved, as she found herself drawn towards Marcello following their encounter on the snowy slopes of Megève, when she was left stranded by Gabriel.

In another encounter, they met up at a polo event in Paris, had a fantastic evening in the city that stretched into the early hours of the next day, and it was during this time that he invited her to pay a visit to him in Rome.

Emily chose to listen to her feelings and journeyed to see Marcello, a trip that also involved securing his family’s enterprise as per Sylvie’s instructions. Yet, Emily felt uneasy about intertwining business matters with personal affairs.

They encountered a difficulty when he discovered she intended to establish a business connection with his family, who ran a high-end cashmere firm. However, they were able to resolve their differences in the end.

Currently, Gabriel engaged in an open discussion with Alfie (Lucien Laviscount), during which he encouraged Gabriel to make an effort to reconcile with Emily, even though they had a romantic history together.

However, although rushing to Rome with the intention of reconciliation, Emily was not found as she spent a delightful day romancing with Marcello instead.

Regarding the forthcoming series, Lucas commented: “It seems Gabriel may struggle to let go of Emily without a fight, which could lead him to make a significant error.

They undoubtedly had a major argument and a time apart. However, I believe he came to understand toward the end of the season that there’s something he doesn’t wish to lose about Emily.

It’s unclear to me what that implies. Being together immediately or in the future isn’t guaranteed by any means. As far as I can tell, he seems to believe there are lingering matters between the two of them that need resolution.

Nonetheless, there’s a glimmer of optimism for the couple, since showrunner Darren Star hinted that the entire season won’t be relocating to Rome.

He informed Deadline that, contrary to speculation, Sylvie hasn’t altered her Instagram username to “Emily in Rome.” Instead, she occasionally works in Rome, and her company happens to have an office there.

Emily is making progress with the transition, but it doesn’t imply a long-term or permanent relocation for me. In my opinion, it’s absolutely not a permanent move to Rome. We are certainly not abandoning Paris.

This year, the show is anticipated to premiere near its end, however, it’s been disclosed that one of the principal actors won’t reappear in the series.

31-year-old actress Camille Razat, known for her role as Camille in the romantic comedy-drama, shared a heartfelt farewell message on Instagram following the upsetting revelation that her character was significantly altered. Fans were displeased with the show’s creators due to this perceived character destruction.

Since the series began streaming in 2020, Camille has portrayed both friend and romantic competitor to Emily on the show.

Now, after five years on our screens as Camille, the actress is ready to move on.

Posting different photos from my experience on the show, she expressed: “Following an extraordinary adventure, I chose to take a break from Emily in Paris.

Having this journey has been absolutely extraordinary; it’s brimmed with personal development, imagination, and moments that will forever stay etched in my mind.

I am incredibly thankful to @starmandarren and the whole team at both Netflix and Paramount Pictures for placing their faith in me and offering the chance to breathe life into Camille. They’ve graciously kept the possibility open for her future appearances, as she remains an integral part of Emily In Paris.

This character holds significant importance for me, and it seems fitting that her narrative arc has concluded. It feels like the perfect time to embark on fresh adventures.

She mentioned: “I just finished working on two shows – Nero for Netflix and The Lost Station Girls for Disney+. What’s more, I’m thrilled to announce the establishment of my own production company, Tazar Production.

For the moment, our focus is on creating music videos and short films. However, an exciting project lies ahead as we are in the process of developing our very first full-length feature film. This endeavor ignites a deep passion within me, and I eagerly look forward to seeing it flourish.

I depart from this production with only affection and respect for the actors, technicians, and spectators who have been with us throughout our journey. Thank you for making this journey so memorable.

Her fans and co-stars rushed to the comments section to share their support.

Lily expressed: “I love you, my sister. What a thrilling journey it’s been, and it’s been an utter delight. You’re like a star on stage. I am so incredibly proud of you.

Philippine Beaulieu added: ‘You’ll be so missed ma chérie Frenchie!!!’

Since the very beginning, you’ve been my partner in this production, and I appreciate your enthusiasm for storytelling, your unique brand of humor, and your consistency in staying true to yourself even when faced with pressure to change.

Camille, you are truly unique, and it has been an absolute privilege to have danced with you during the recent seasons. Continue to shine brightly.

‘I’m going to miss laughing with you. I’m cheering you on in everything you do.’

Emily In Paris premiered on Netflix in October 2020.

The synopsis on the streaming service reads: ‘New passions. New fashions. New Emily?

A determined and adventurous marketing specialist from the U.S. expands her horizons in both career and romance, following her dream of working in Paris.

The show, created by Star, has had 40 episodes run over four seasons.

As a lifestyle connoisseur, I’d be delighted to share that this captivating ensemble includes the talents of Lily, Philippine, Ashley Park, Lucas, Samuel Arnold, Bruno Gouery, and William Abadie, with a special mention for Lucien as well.
