On Monday, the legendary actor arrived at Sydney International Airport prior to the Australian debut of Freakier Friday.
As the 66-year-old arrived, she tried to blend in by donning large sunglasses and a black facial mask to conceal her well-known characteristics.
She kept a low profile by wearing an all-black ensemble, which included a blazer and dark scarf.
On that particular travel day, the actress elegantly paired her outfit with no less than two luxurious Goyard handbags, each costing approximately 10,000 Australian dollars when purchased together.
Regardless of trying to keep a low profile, Jamie Lee’s unique grey pixie hairstyle and slim physique made it impossible for people not to recognize her right away.
The well-known American actress, preparing to debut her newest film in Australia with Lindsay Lohan, has disclosed the explanation for the long delay of 22 years before a follow-up to “Freaky Friday” was produced.
In the year 2003, Jamie Lee graced our screens as a key player in the current blockbuster comedy, where the protagonists unexpectedly swap bodies, leading to a series of humorous events unfolding.
Fans have eagerly anticipated a follow-up to the classic comedy for quite some time, but their patience has been tested, since Freaky Friday is finally being released in theaters – more than twenty years after the initial film.
Currently, Jamie Lee has disclosed the reason behind the extended interval between the two film releases. She confessed that for quite some time, she had been planning a sequel movie.
On The One Show from last week, it was disclosed that the sequel plot required Lindsay, who is now 39 years old, to be of an age where she could have a teenager, and that’s why Jamie had to wait before moving forward with the production.
Lindsay admitted, “People kept asking me about the film due to her age, but the fact is that Lindsay must have been old enough to have a 15-year-old daughter.
As a devoted admirer, I found myself perplexed when someone mentioned, “Well, she is,” regarding the individual I’ve always known as a young girl. Intrigued, I asked for clarification because her age had never been disclosed to me in my acquaintance.
‘Someone told me and I was, like, “Oh! Well maybe we can make the movie. Let’s go!”‘
When Lindsay was fifteen years old, she initially took on the role of Anna Coleman, opposite Jamie Lee, who depicted her character’s on-screen mother, Tess Coleman, in Freaky Friday.
After an argument triggered by a misfortune with a fortune cookie at a Chinese restaurant, a mother and daughter mysteriously swap lives, leading them to experience each other’s daily routines and challenges.
Regardless of our initial differences, eventually the magical device helped us understand each other’s perspectives more deeply.
In the upcoming continuation, the famous duo will trade roles yet another time, and this time, they’ll find themselves caught up in four times the trouble.
