Over the weekend, Jen Shah was spotted engaging in physical activities at Federal Prison Camp Bryan in Texas – a facility where she’s currently serving her sentence alongside fellow inmates, Ghislaine Maxwell and Elizabeth Holmes.
51-year-old Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star, who had her prison term lessened yet again in January, enjoyed an outdoor run recently, donning a set of gray shorts and a coordinating top.
Instead, she put on a pair of black Nike sneakers and completed the look with a gray visor hat perched atop her ponytailed hair.
In the year 2023, Jen found herself facing a 78-month prison term due to her involvement in a deceitful telemarketing operation that extended across multiple states. This scam primarily targeted elderly and susceptible people.
In a live-captured event, she was taken into custody by the FBI during the shooting of the second season of RHOSLC. Initially, she asserted her innocence; however, subsequently, she admitted guilt for one charge of wire fraud.
Since February 2023, Jen has been doing her sentence at a low-security prison camp situated in Southern Texas.

As stated on the prison’s official site, the institution currently holds 635 prisoners, among whom is Elizabeth, the individual involved in the Theranos fraud case.
Jen and Elizabeth have frequently been seen engaging in activities together at the venue, for instance, they were observed exercising side by side in an outdoor space back in February.
In a recent chat with People, I’ve been open about describing my experience within the Texas correctional facility as a “living hell.” It’s not easy, but I’m doing my best to navigate this challenging journey.
She expressed, “It feels strange. Complete strangers seem to have such strong opinions about me. They can’t grasp my true identity.
‘This situation requires you to ponder your beliefs deeply and hold onto hope for the truth to emerge. I’m navigating through this journey guided by faith and the truth. However, being in this place has been nothing short of challenging and tormenting.’
Earlier this week, it was reported that Ghislaine, who was convicted in 2022 for her involvement in a scheme to sexually exploit and abuse multiple minor girls alongside Jeffrey Epstein over a span of ten years, has recently been transferred to a women’s-only prison, according to NBC.
Earlier, she was incarcerated for 20 years in a mixed-gender, low-security prison situated in Tallahassee, Florida.
Meanwhile, Jen’s sentence has been reduced multiple times.
In January of this year, Jen’s prison sentence was reduced for a third time to November 2026.

At that moment, fans expressed their views about the star’s early release, with one writing on X, “Your decision to free Jen Shah is a testament to upholding the U.S. Constitution.
One person stated, ‘The Justice System is finally making a correct decision,’ while another commented, ‘It seems that the judges lowering Jen Shah’s sentence are quite fond of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.’
In March, exactly two months later, her prison term was reduced yet again. She is now scheduled for release on September 19, 2026, as reported by Us Weekly.
In March 2021, both Jen and her previous aide, Stuart Smith, found themselves under arrest following allegations of fraud in a telemarketing scam.
2022 saw Stuart admit guilt, while the Real Housewife maintained her innocence all year long.
Ultimately, Jen confessed to the charges and started serving her prison term from February 2023 onwards. The court mandated that she repay $6.5 million as restitution.
During her imprisonment, she additionally shared a heartfelt message and declared, “I am recognized by you and the world as Jen Shah.
However, despite its name, reality TV bears little resemblance to real life. Even my catchphrase, “Shah-mazing,” was written by someone else. Instead, let’s discuss the real me.

The television personality claimed that she had unaddressed mental health problems over a long period, leading her to construct her own version of reality.
Towards the end of last year, in December specifically, Jen shared some news with her followers while she was serving time in a Texas prison.
On their site, they communicated a note titled “Dear Jen Shah” to express that she is currently thriving and dedicating time to improving herself personally.
In addition, it was mentioned that Jen is deeply committed to her path of constructive recovery and recently had a chat with her fellow actor, Meredith Marks, over the phone.
In my interactions with Meredith Marks, I must say, the vibe was nothing short of fantastic. Her warmth and friendship have been a beacon for me during these trying times, and I can confidently express that I hold her in high regard.
Her team continued at the time that she has been keeping busy at the facility.

Currently, Jen is dedicated to organizing her upcoming holiday-themed beauty exhibition at the FPC Bryan Prison. She remains affectionate, replying with love to messages of encouragement from her loved ones, family members, followers, and friends.
The update ended with the statement, ‘She expresses gratitude to all those who keep praying for her and maintain a favorable image of her.’
On May 30th, I felt fantastic and healthy as I posted a picture of my workout session.
As I navigate my way through this rehabilitative process and look forward to returning home, the unwavering affection and respect from my followers, the love of my family, and my strong faith provide the fuel that carries me forward on this journey.
I thought it would be great to send a photo from one of my incredible workout sessions to my team. My dedication to fitness and assisting fellow inmates in reaching their fitness goals remains unwavering. Keep an eye out for more updates.
‘I can only control what I can control.’
Jen earned acclaim as she joined the cast of RHOSLC during its debut in 2020. For three consecutive seasons, she was a featured member on the Bravo show, until her incarceration followed.
In 1994, the star got married to Sharrieff Shah, and together they have two sons named Sharrieff Jr. and Omar.
