An event featuring stars like Jude Law and Eddie Redmayne, which was connected to the Harry Potter universe, has been definitively called off.
Typically, a large number of enthusiasts don costumes and assemble at King’s Cross Station, reenacting the iconic moment when students forcefully push their way through a brick wall to discover Platform 9 3/4, where the magical Hogwarts Express is stationed.
As a devoted admirer of the magical world, I eagerly anticipate the annual tradition known as Back to Hogwarts, marking the beginning of each scholastic year at the enchanting Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, every September 1st. In past years, this tradition has included the mystical train service being displayed on departure boards.
Previously, Warner Brothers Discovery had canceled their annual public event last year, and they’ve since confirmed that the event will not take place this year either.
As a lifestyle expert, I’d like to share some insights based on information posted on the Wizarding World website in July. They recommend that fellow enthusiasts should steer clear of King’s Cross station for now. It’s all part of ensuring our magical community remains safe and sound!
‘Important message for Hogwarts enthusiasts: Sadly, we can’t let you gather at King’s Cross Station on September 1st, 2025, as no special countdown or train announcement event is planned that year. Safety comes first, so please stay safe.’

As a die-hard admirer, I’m thrilled to share some insider news with fellow enthusiasts! Directly from the source, it’s been confirmed that our beloved event won’t be gracing the station this year. Yes, you heard it right! The anticipation continues elsewhere.
There’s going to be a special showing of the fourth Harry Potter movie at Cineworld, Leicester Square, and the Phelps brothers, James and Oliver, will be there to host a question-and-answer session.
Last month, it emerged that the Wightwick Hall steam locomotive is poised for global recognition, as it has been chosen to star in the forthcoming Harry Potter television show, portraying the iconic Hogwarts Express.
Over a span of 41 years, volunteers have meticulously restored a magnificent train. This refurbished locomotive is now set to carry the sorcerer from the iconic platform 9 3/4 at London’s King’s Cross station to his magical school.
Wightwick Hall was constructed back in 1948 and journeyed an impressive 640,000 miles on the Great Western Railway until it was taken out of service in 1964. After that, it ended up in a salvage yard in Barry, South Wales.
In 1978, the railway locomotive was purchased for £9,180 by volunteers from the Buckinghamshire Railway Centre, located in Quainton. They then undertook its restoration.
The loco is now on long-term loan to the Bluebell Railway in West Sussex.
For the upcoming eight years, Wightwick Hall will devote half a year each year to filming scenes for an HBO series. During breaks in filming, it will continue operating as a tourist attraction.

As a rabid fan, I can hardly contain my excitement! This very month, the cameras will start rolling for the upcoming adaptation of JK Rowling’s enchanting novels. The magic is set to unfold next year on our screens, and I simply cannot wait!
In this casting, Dominic McLaughlin takes on the character of Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton portrays Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout stars as Ron Weasley – all at the ages of 11 years old.
During the years ranging from 2001 to 2011, the Olton Hall train engine, currently located at the Warner Bros Studio Tour in Watford, took center stage and was portrayed as the iconic Hogwarts Express in various movies.
The filming process for the show kicked off in May, as the cast and team were spotted preparing on the Île de Sein, an island located off the coast of Brittany, France.
