Elizabeth Hurley poses in a COFFIN after transforming into the mysterious benefactor The Deceased as Channel 4 share first look at cunning new gameshow The Inheritance

In the trailer for the new Channel 4 game show, The Inheritance, Elizabeth Hurley demonstrates her timeless beauty and charm, even when portraying a seemingly deceased character.

In the intriguing trailer, the character portrayed by the 60-year-old actor is ‘The Deceased.’ The plot unfolds as a grand mansion gets robbed of costly items.

Elizabeth, adorned in a deep-v gold sequined gown, remarked: “I should mention, dear ones, since I’ve passed away, all of my assets are now available to claim.

In the TV series, Elizabeth plays the elegant patroness, guiding 13 competitors through various challenges to win her wealth.

On the show, Elizabeth, a charming benefactor, oversees 13 hopefuls competing for her fortune by testing their skills and abilities.

If they aim for a significant portion of it, they’ll have to be clever to outsmart her tricky challenges instead.

The game is managed by Robert Rinder, aged 47, who serves as the Executor of the deceased’s estate and provides trusted legal advice.

The Deceased realizes that individuals might take significant efforts to claim her estate, yet she believes that only the cleverest of competitors are worthy of inheriting it.

Consequently, Hurley’s character created a set of extremely challenging tasks to make sure that this outcome occurred.

These are reported to put the players’ diligence, decency and ruthlessness to the test.

The game also has a twist – only one player can collect the inheritance from each request.

In other words, they need to persuade their rival contestants that they are worthy of receiving this unexpected gain.

Channel 4 described “The Inheritance” as a competitive, ruthless game that requires quick thinking, determination, charm, and deceit.

The focus isn’t on who truly deserves the money, but rather on who is more skilled, charismatic, or cunning enough to outdo others and take it for themselves.

The show has already been likened to the smash hit, The Traitors, which has a similar premise.

In this BBC series, contestants reside at Ardoss Castle in the Scottish Highlands. Here, a knowledgeable group (referred to as the Traitors) aim to secretly eliminate a larger, less informed group (the Faithfuls).

Elizabeth expressed great excitement about being involved in this intelligent game, particularly as The Deceased character. The story unfolds on her vast rural English estate, and she is elegantly dressed in every single scene.

Rob added: ‘This is a high-stakes strategy game served with a side of scheming and sabotage.

As the appointed administrator, it’s my role to ensure the regulations are upheld, maintain some semblance of order, and guarantee that the rightful recipients receive every last cent from our late loved one’s estate.

The Inheritance will air on Channel 4 this autumn.
