Actress Lynne McGranger, known for her roles in Home and Away, dazzled on the red carpet at the 65th TV WEEK Logie Awards held last Sunday evening.
In a striking golden dress, the 71-year-old actress captured everyone’s attention, preparing herself for what might be the pinnacle moment of her professional journey.
Lynne, the longtime portrayer of Irene Roberts, graced The Star in Sydney with her presence in an elegant, off-the-shoulder satin ensemble.
She finished her ensemble with an elaborate train and a sculpted bodice, which beautifully matched the glamorous vibe of the evening.
McGranger stands as a strong contender for the prestigious Gold Logie, given that her chances of winning have significantly increased over the past week. Her odds have dropped from $3.50 to an almost certain $1.70.
And if she does win, she won’t be the only one celebrating.

‘My son-in-law messaged me when the news broke about the Gold Logie,’ she revealed this week.
As a seasoned lifestyle connoisseur, I recently made an intriguing investment: I picked up what seems to be a hidden gem for just $3.50, placing a confident bet of $100 on its potential value. However, I find it hard to believe that the odds for such a promising find should be this lengthy!
‘But then within a week, I was $1.70, so now he is very chuffed.
‘If I have to get up and make a speech, I’ll make it known publicly that he just made $350 off me!’
As she confidently maintains her leading position, McGranger acknowledges that a victory would mark a deeply moving conclusion to her impressive 33-year stint on Home and Away.
Earlier this year, it was made known that she would be saying goodbye to the soap, and her last episodes, depicting Irene dealing with a devastating Alzheimer’s diagnosis, will be broadcast in the upcoming weeks.
Fan enthusiasts are encouraged to bid farewell through a commemorative site, www.goodbyeirene.com.au, while expressing their admiration by casting their vote for her in the Logies.

‘It’s humbling and really overwhelming to even be nominated,’ she said.
Had I been aware that such an event would transpire, I would have departed long before now. Yet, on a more sincere note, I’m genuinely enjoying this journey – I truly am.
McGranger is up against tough rivals like Sonia Kruger, Ally Langdon, Hamish Blake, Julia Morris, Lisa Millar, and Poh Ling Yeow in the race for the Gold Logie award.
But her legion of fans – and the bookies – are betting this could finally be her golden year.
