This season of The Block has taken an unexpected turn as some well-known past contestants are reappearing at the construction site, however, not all who applied were selected for this comeback.
Exclusively disclosed by Daily Mail: A chosen bunch of previous “Blockhead” competitors have been asked to return, providing guidance, surprising the newcomers, and adding a dash of excitement to the fresh batch of contestants.
And according to one senior producer, the decision on who returned came down to one simple rule.
‘We bring it up every year,’ they told Daily Mail.
Our policy is simply, “We don’t tolerate rude or disrespectful behavior.” Over the years, we’ve worked with approximately 150 teams, but not everyone we’ve interacted with has maintained a friendly relationship.

This time, the returning favourites aren’t just popping in for a cameo.
They’re stepping into a bigger role designed to shake things up behind the scenes – and on camera.
The source disclosed that we aimed for them to raise spirits and provide encouragement to the novices. They have been there and understand – the tension, the emotional outbursts, and the lack of sleep.
It seems that some familiar faces have returned to Daylesford! Among them are Eliza and Liberty, Kristy and Brett, Steph and Gian, Maddy and Charlotte, as well as the dynamic duo Alisa and Lysandra.
And it seems Steph and Gian, in particular, aren’t here to play it safe.
One team member playfully hinted, “They’ve got a big surprise planned,” implying that this wasn’t merely a friendly greeting but something significant that would stir up the entire season.
According to insiders, the returning contestants are expected to introduce significant surprises as they celebrate the landmark 1000th episode of the show coming up this year.
‘The source playfully noted that it’s not just a brief appearance—it’s a significant role, like passing the trowel in a project. These individuals have proven their worth; they are well-aware of what’s ahead and eager to make the most of this opportunity.’

As familiar faces return and the atmosphere grows increasingly tense, this season of The Block promises to be its most unforeseeable one yet.
Daily Mail has reached out to Channel Nine for comment.
Filming on Channel Nine’s The Block 2025 has been well underway in regional Victoria since March.
In April, aerial photos revealed that this year’s season will feature some massive homes.
In a small, tranquil countryside retreat called Daylesford, which is 112 kilometers from Melbourne, there are five sections under active construction.
Each pair of two-story houses is arranged in an ‘H’ pattern, featuring open courtyards at both the front and back.

A photo from the site shows that one team of Blockheads is well ahead of their rivals.
It seems that the competitors have almost finished installing the roof, including multiple skylights.
This television series, which has gained massive popularity in Australia as a renovation show, is set to offer its most challenging season yet – The Block.
Over five sets of partners, hailing from various regions, have invested numerous months constructing dwellings from the ground up, all while dealing with significant time constraints and novel regulations. This intense experience has left them feeling tense, overwhelmed, and occasionally emotional.
For this year’s roster, we have the duo of Britt and Taz from the Western Australia police department, the team of Hannah and Can hailing from Perth, the couple Emma and Ben representing Victoria, the buddies Robby and Mat from Adelaide, and Sonny and Alicia, the parents from the Gold Coast.
