Kerry Katona takes a brutal swipe at Brooklyn Beckham as she weighs in on nepotism row

During an interview with The Sun on Friday, Kerry Katona did not mince words when she openly criticized Brooklyn Beckham.

During a shared interview with her closest companion, Katie Price, the television personality and mother expressed their thoughts on the controversy surrounding nepotism while discussing their aspirations for their daughters to potentially feature on the popular dating show, Love Island.

Discussing helping Heidi, aged 18, advance in her career, Kerry dismissed any allegations of favoritism, stating instead that: ‘People often discuss nepotism, yet everyone knows someone who can help them out. ‘

I can hold the door open for you. It’s up to you whether you decide to go through it or not; whatever happens after that, it will be entirely your responsibility.

In a critical tone, she remarked about the eldest Beckham child, “You won’t find Brooklyn Beckham on the football field, as his skills are poor.

As I find myself turning 26 this year, I reflect on my decision to step away from football, a choice that was born out of the realization that following in the footsteps of my legendary father, David, might prove too challenging for me personally. This shift allowed me to carve out a unique path in life and explore passions beyond the sporting arena.

Once a promising talent in soccer, playing for Arsenal’s youth academy, he later chose to leave the field behind after being let go by the club at the age of 16. Instead, he now focuses on honing his skills as a chef.

Daily Mail have contacted both Kerry and Brooklyn’s representatives for comment.

David, aged 50, is widely recognized as one of the top midfielders of his era and garnered 19 significant titles during his impressive 20-year football journey.

In an interview with Variety in 2022, Brooklyn shared that his dad didn’t express sorrow when he decided to quit the sport, even though it had been a significant part of his life since his youth.

He stated that his father didn’t show signs of sorrow as he expressed, “I merely wish for your happiness.” However, it’s important to note that the speaker felt sadness themselves, as they explained, “This was a significant part of my existence ever since I was just two years old.

In an attempt to emulate my father’s achievements in football, I found it quite challenging.

After leaving his football career behind, Brooklyn has delved into various alternatives such as cooking and photography.

Apart from managing various brands, he also debuted his personal hot sauce brand, Cloud 23, just a year ago.

In relation to the discussion about nepotism last year, he openly acknowledged: ‘Indeed, I fall under that category. However, I had no control over my birth circumstances.’

To Grazia magazine, he openly shared his perspective: Although he acknowledges why the general public might be annoyed about the concept of “nepo babies,” Brooklyn chooses to disregard the negative comments instead of dwelling on them.

I’d like to emphasize: There will always be individuals spreading nonsense. However, if you engage in activities that bring joy to your heart and treat others with kindness, then that’s truly what truly counts.

Regardless of my actions, I’ll inevitably encounter it, and I’m content with that situation. It pushes me to exert more effort since I’m determined to demonstrate to others that they were mistaken about me.

In conversation with Delish magazine, he mentioned that he found a gap in the market for high-end condiments, particularly at an affordable cost, which inspired him to create his hot sauce brand.

He shared that his passion for food stems from numerous trips he took with his parents to various global destinations throughout his life. Since his father’s career in football led them to reside in cities like Madrid, Los Angeles, and Milan, he had the opportunity to sample a wide variety of flavors and cuisines worldwide.

After the outbreak of Covid-19, I encountered my spouse, began preparing meals for her, and developed a deep affection for it. Now, it serves as a welcome distraction.
