US stars Jelly Roll and Shaboozey are headed to Australia for inaugural country music festival Strummingbird

Country music artists Jelly Roll and Shaboozey are planning to travel to Australia later this year for their performance at the initial Strummingbird festival.

At the country music festival spanning across three cities, which is organized by the same crew as the renowned Split Milk concerts, the performers who specialize in singing will take the spotlight starting this October.

Leading the festival is the well-adored Nashville songwriter, Jelly Roll, age 40, who has garnered four Grammy nominations for his catchy tunes and amassed a significant international fanbase.

In this collaboration, we have Shaboozey, a 30-year-old musical legend known for his chart-topping and double platinum single “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” in Australia.

On Saturday, October 25th, the musical performers will kick off their performances first at Kawana Sports Precinct, located on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.

On Saturday, November 1, they’ll be putting on a show at the Newcastle Foreshore in Newcastle. After that, they’ll wrap things up at Claremont Showground in Perth on November 2.

An impressive mix of both global and local artists will also perform, such as Treaty Oak Revival, James Johnston, Kaylee Bell, Matt Hansen, Drew Baldridge, and Hot Dub Time Machine.

Live Nation recently revealed on social media that Strummingbird has unveiled their lineup for 2025, which is sure to make your feet tap and nod in appreciation!

Pre-sale tickets will be available from Thursday.

Tickets will range in price from approximately $170 – $215.

Event organizers shared on social media that attendees should anticipate the following: “The festival lasts more than 10 hours, so you don’t need to arrive right at the beginning.

At the event, you’ll find not one but two live music venues, a mechanical rodeo bull, delicious barbecue, a variety of drinks, and plenty more fun activities to experience! We’ll share the performance schedules as we get closer to the big day.

Featuring popular hit-makers, emerging country artists, and a relaxed festival ambiance, Strummingbird is poised to make its debut as an unmissable Australian musical experience.

The pleasantly unexpected good news arrives at a point when the Australian live music sector encounters substantial hurdles.

This year has canceled numerous significant music festivals, such as the multi-location event Listen Out, the soulful Souled Out R’n’B festival, and the legendary Splendour in the Grass.

It was revealed in January that Splendour in the Grass would not be returning in 2025.

It was announced on social media that organizers have officially decided, for the second consecutive year, to cancel the popular Byron Bay music festival.

The 2024 Splendour festival, featuring artists such as Kylie Minogue, G Flip, Tash Sultana, and Fontaines D.C., was unexpectedly canceled just days after ticket sales began. Organizers cited unforeseen circumstances as the reason for the sudden cancellation.

2026 may not definitively bring back the festival, but organizers ask music enthusiasts to consider this as a pause, so they can make a strong comeback with more grandeur once the proper moment arrives.
