For the initial occasion, Vans is venturing onto tennis courts collaboratively with Setinn, a renowned Japanese tennis brand.

Vans Japan collaborates with an experienced sports brand to introduce its first line of tennis shoes: the Setinn x Vans Authentic and Setinn x Vans Speed. Inspired by the idea of playing tennis while wearing skate shoes, Vans applies its design philosophy to new, unexplored areas. Mainly preserving their original shapes, the Authentic and Speed have been subtly redesigned with minimalist elements scattered throughout.

From my perspective as a fan, I’d say that the Authentic model is given a unique twist by being drenched in a black-and-white grid pattern reminiscent of a tennis net. The Vans logo graces the upper, while a Setinn stamp adorns the white midsole. As for the Speed, this larger sneaker also joins the lineup in an all-white colorway, punctuated by bold green Vans branding on the tongue, heel, and outsole.

To match the pair of sneakers, there’s also a collection of fresh clothing items and accessories, such as collaborative graphic t-shirts, sporty shorts, a bandana, and a baseball cap.
