Netflix unveils initial snapshots from Guillermo del Toro’s forthcoming “Frankenstein” film, offering viewers a sneak peek into the newest version of the iconic creature for fans to marvel at.
The movie is based on Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel and features Oscar Isaac portraying Victor Frankenstein. It chronicles the story of this self-absorbed scientist who discovers the means to manufacture life.
According to the summary, Victor creates a monstrous being through an unfortunate scientific experiment, which eventually results in the downfall of both the inventor and his pitiful creation.
Transformed beyond recognition from the image of Frankenstein’s monster, Saltburn actor Jacob Elordi showcases a drastically altered appearance, trading in his well-known handsome features for a more grotesque visage.
In this ensemble, we have Isaac and Elordi, accompanied by Mia Goth, Felix Kammerer, Lars Mikkelsen, David Bradley, Christian Convery, Charles Dance, and the talented Christoph Waltz.

In the recently published images, Elordi is depicted as the masked character, sporting a hood and scarf to conceal a damaged and scarred visage.
Additionally, you’ll notice Isaac portrayed as Victor Frankenstein in the latest images, delivering a medical lecture in a grand hall. On the other hand, we have Goth, taking on the role of Victor’s beloved, Elizabeth Lavenza.
As a gaming enthusiast, here’s my take:
“I, a game lover, spotted a fresh photo featuring the charismatic actor from Game of Thrones, along with another star, Waltz, known for his role in Inglourious Basterds. In this snap, Waltz donned a stylish top hat and a cloak adorned with fur trim.

Set to hit theaters in November of this year, the movie has been under development for a decade, and during his 2018 BAFTA acceptance speech, Guillermo del Toro publicly acknowledged Edgar Allan Poe’s granddaughter, Maude, who is known as Shelley.
In simpler terms, he expressed that among all significant figures from English history, a young woman named Mary Shelley stands out as remarkably impactful for him, holding a place in his life as precious as a family member.

Whenever I’m on the verge of quitting, whenever I contemplate surrender, or when others suggest my movie and story dreams are unattainable, I remember her.
Frankenstein is released on Netflix in November 2025.
