Simon Cowell’s pal Lucy Spraggan reveals he also considered signing up for Who Dares Wins but she had to warn him off tough series due to health concerns

As a devoted admirer, I can share that my friend Simon Cowell was contemplating joining Channel 4’s SAS: Who Dares Wins. However, Lucy Spraggan, being his confidante, candidly advised him that he wouldn’t stand a chance in the competition.

Previously leading the X Factor, this individual might be enjoying a lavish lifestyle, yet he appears to have demonstrated his resilience rather than just basking in luxury.

65-year-old Simon felt delighted upon learning that Lucy has been involved in discussions about a show where famous individuals face demanding tasks by participating in various rigorous challenges.

Lucy, who has developed a strong bond with Simon since their time together on The X Factor in 2012, mentioned that the media tycoon suggested it would be an excellent opportunity for her to participate in the show because she enjoys spending time outdoors and frequently engages in shooting air rifles with him.

And he was so thrilled for her that he reportedly said he’ll ‘maybe try and have a go at it’.

Lucy shared with The Sun, “I exclaimed, ‘You’d be dead on the spot!’ It was amusing because it immediately conveyed the difficulty of the situation, and I bluntly told him, ‘You wouldn’t stand a chance.’

Next Sunday at 9pm, I’ll be tuning in for the latest season of SAS: Who Dares Wins. In this series, Simon delivers a motivational speech to Lucy, but their conversation takes an unexpected turn.

Her friendship with Simon has never been stronger; in fact, last year, he was honored to walk her down the aisle at her highly publicized wedding to partner Emilia Smith.

Lucy chuckled, finding it peculiar. “It’s quite unusual,” she said, given that it’s such a high-stress situation. And then, out of nowhere, I caught sight of him, which felt really odd!

‘But he was here and Lauren [Silverman] was there.’

In recent months, Simon has been working on launching a new talent show.

The upcoming Netflix series, titled “The Next Act,” sees Simon Cowell embarking on a quest to discover the world’s next boyband sensation akin to One Direction, which will be available for streaming soon.

Although Netflix has not officially greenlit a second season, there’s speculation that he is eager to cash in on the current hype and is already considering a second series featuring rising girl bands as the main focus.

According to a source, there’s a great deal of anticipation for the upcoming boyband competition series on Netflix, set to be released later in the year.

It would be logical to explore a follow-up story featuring a similar theme, yet centering around a female character instead.

Furthermore, given his past achievements with One Direction and Little Mix, it’s clear that Simon played a significant role in shaping two of the most successful pop groups from the last twenty years.

In the upcoming season, it’s expected that The Next Act will span across six episodes, offering audiences a glimpse into nationwide open auditions, an insider look behind the scenes, and the unveiling of the group’s first official single.
