Fantastic Four Fans Complain About Lots of Deleted Scenes From Trailers
As a die-hard Marvel fan, I must say I’ve been thrilled with the reception for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.” However, it seems that some fans aren’t entirely pleased due to several scenes being omitted from the movie. While the narrative is widely appreciated, many have noticed that certain sequences featured in the trailer are missing from the final cut. Released on July 25, 2025, this Matt Shakman-directed film has undeniably left its mark on the silver screen.
Fans aren’t happy about several Fantastic Four deleted and cut scenes
Fans of Marvel are dominating social media platforms, voicing their displeasure over missing scenes from The Fantastic Four: First Steps trailers that didn’t make it into the film’s final version.
Prior to the movie’s premiere, director Matt Shakman had disclosed that all scenes involving John Malkovich as the Red Ghost were eliminated from the final version. One of the most significant scenes removed from the film is where Reed Richards and Sue Storm guide a visitor through the Baxter building.
In the trailer, a scene or dialogue that was advertised doesn’t appear in the actual film. For example, when Reed mentions “stretching the limits of space, and they heard,” this line seems to be missing from the final cut. This discrepancy has left some viewers wondering about the edits made, leading them to express their concerns about the changes.
In a post on X (previously known as Twitter), a user shared their thoughts: “I’ve been reflecting on how much footage from the trailers wasn’t included in Fantastic Four. Given this, I believe the movie could have benefited from being 20-30 minutes longer. The tempo was well-balanced, and I adore the film as it stands, but there were certain scenes I eagerly anticipated that didn’t make it to the final cut.
In simpler terms, Alex Coleman said, “I observed that they removed several exciting parts from the Fantastic Four First Steps trailers.
Additionally, the user requested access to the extended edition of the film. They expressed this by saying, “I need the four-hour version of The Fantastic Four’s Initial Journey, tagged as #TheFantasticFour. The trailers have shown a lot less than what’s actually there.
A spectator expressed, “One of the scenes shown in the previews, which I had eagerly anticipated watching on a large screen, was unfortunately left out.
Regardless, fans can now catch The Fantastic Four: First Steps in their nearest cinemas.
