The Dark Knight & Man of Steel Composer Joins Euphoria Season 3

Hans Zimmer, renowned for composing music in films like The Dark Knight and Man of Steel, is now part of Euphoria’s third season. Previously, Labrinth has been responsible for scoring the first two seasons, but he is set to contribute once more to the upcoming episodes.

Hans Zimmer and Labrinth are set to create the music for the eagerly awaited third season of Euphoria. In a statement, Zimmer expressed his excitement about being part of such an exceptional group of storytellers, led by the talented Sam Levinson. He further stated that the team has produced a daring and moving series that has resonated deeply with viewers. Labrinth’s music has played a significant role in defining the show’s character, and Zimmer is eager to contribute to the narrative and help shape this new season through their combined efforts in music composition.

In his own words, Labrinth acknowledged Zimmer as one of his idols. He expressed excitement about collaborating with Hans Zimmer, another hero of his in the film scoring world, to create enchanting music for a new chapter of Euphoria. With affection, he concluded his statement.

Significantly, Timothy Lee McKenzie, better known as Labrinth, was awarded the Primetime Emmy for Exceptional Original Music and Lyrics, thanks to a revised rendition of his track All for Us. Performing the song in the TV series Euphoria was Zendaya, who portrays Ruby “Rue” Bennett.

In addition to those listed, Zimmer has also composed music for films like Gladiator (released in 2000), the Pirates of the Caribbean series from 2006 to 2011, Interstellar (2014), Dunkirk (2017), No Time to Die (2021), and both parts of Dune (2021). He has earned Oscars for his work on The Lion King in 1994 and Dune in 2021.

In a different statement, Levinson echoed Zimmer’s feelings and pointed out that he penned Season 3 while using the soundtracks from Interstellar and True Romance as inspiration. He added, “He’s been a part of our creative fabric since the start. I take great pride in the work Labrinth and I have accomplished in earlier seasons, and I’m thrilled that Hans will help us reach even greater heights.

Euphoria Season 3 doesn’t officially have a release date, but it can potentially come out in 2026.
