Ozzy Osbourne’s chilling admission about his marriage to wife Sharon in resurfaced Australian interview

Ozzy Osbourne once admitted his beloved wife Sharon was ‘keeping him alive’.

The Black Sabbath frontman died aged 76,  surrounded by his family on Tuesday morning.

After his passing, an old interview featuring Australian music maestro Billy Pinnell emerged, revealing the iconic rocker openly discussing Sharon’s steadfast devotion towards him.

As a devoted admirer, I’d put it this way: When Billy queried the renowned figure about Sharon’s influence on his professional journey, I, Ozzy, acknowledged that my wife’s unwavering presence was crucial to my very existence in the limelight.

In his conversation at a takeaway eatery in Collingwood, Melbourne, he expressed his belief that behind every remarkable man lies an exceptional woman, and he feels this sentiment is particularly applicable to his own life – referencing his wife as the key player in this equation.

‘Truly, without my wife at my side, I wouldn’t be here – without any doubt.’

When Billy asked the lead singer for more details about his statement, Ozzy was open and unhesitant about discussing it.

‘I wouldn’t be alive, I wouldn’t be singing,’ he said. ‘She saved my life every day.’

Apart from sharing remorse, Ozzy openly acknowledged the harmful impact that his well-known struggles with substance abuse had on Sharon, which unfortunately included instances of mistreatment towards her.

In 1989, under the influence of drugs, he made an attempt on Sharon’s life. Seven years prior to that, he disrespected the revered Alamo Cenotaph in Texas by urinating on it, which led to a ten-year ban from San Antonio.

In 2003, he suffered injuries from a quad bike accident at his residence in the UK. This incident significantly affected his already delicate state of health.

However, even amidst his struggles, the troubled vocalist experienced redemption. He reinvented himself on reality television through “The Osbournes” during the early 2000s, following his recovery from alcohol and substance abuse, with the support of Sharon.

Ozzy shared that during his self-destructive phase, he subjected her to a lot of hardship – disappearing for extended periods, physically hurting her, and committing numerous cruel acts. Yet, despite everything, she remained by his side, offering him support and helping him overcome various challenges.

‘She’s still there – we’ve got three beautiful children – and I’m coming through it, you know?’

Ozzy also shared some wisdom for other lovebirds, stating, “A relationship is like a bumpy journey – everyone experiences their fair share of highs and lows.

Persist, as our journey has led us nearer, despite the hardships we’ve faced. Our happiness is immense now. I deeply cherish her.

As a devoted follower, I’d like to share a piece of trivia: I got hitched with Ozzy on the Fourth of July, 1982, in the enchanting locale of Hawaii. Together, we were blessed with three wonderful kids – Aimee, Kelly, and Jack, who are now 41, 40, and 39 respectively.

In addition, he had three children – an adopted son named Elliot Kingsley (age 59), as well as Jessica (age 53) and Louis (age 50) – with his first wife Thelma Riley.

In my recent reflections, I can’t help but recall the powerful performance by Ozzy at Villa Park in Birmingham, which took place merely weeks before the heart-wrenching news of his passing was shared by his loved ones on Wednesday.

Using simpler words and a conversational tone, the family’s statement could be rephrased as follows: ‘With deep sorrow, we must share the heartbreaking news that our cherished Ozzy Osbourne has left us this morning.’

He was together with his loved ones, basking in the warmth of affection. At present, we kindly request that everyone grants our family their space and privacy. This includes Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and Louis.

This month, the lead singer gave a touching goodbye to his audience on stage, rejoining once more with his original Black Sabbath companions – Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward – for the first time since 2005.

In his farewell address, Osbourne conveyed, “You can’t even imagine what I’m feeling, but let me express my deepest gratitude.

The musical icon swore that the show was his last one, given his health struggles, as he publicly revealed his fight against Parkinson’s disease in 2020.
