The movie “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” is set to premiere shortly, and its Rotten Tomatoes rating has just been disclosed.
The newest member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is receiving praise, with a current 86% positive review rating.
Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn form a group of superheroes tasked with shielding Earth from the destructive threat posed by the cosmic entity Galactus and his herald, the Silver Surfer, portrayed by Julia Garner.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve got to say that the latest Fantastic Four flick, being the second reboot in their movie franchise, has left me thoroughly impressed. It blows the 2015 version out of the water and stands tall as the best portrayal of these superheroes so far.
According to Rolling Stone’s critique, the portrayal in “Fantastic Four: First Steps” is considered the most impressive screen adaptation so far of the team, but it should be noted that this is not a particularly high benchmark. However, the creation of their world is undeniably an accomplishment.

The Seattle Times commented: “First Steps” is the perfect film for this family of heroes. It’s emotional, thrilling, and simply enjoyable. Truly remarkable!
The New York Post expressed a slightly more reserved enthusiasm, stating: “First Steps” shows a minor enhancement compared to the previous horror trilogy. However, Marvel has yet to perfect what should be one of their flagship offerings.
As a devoted fan, I’d put it this way: “The piece was captivating! It felt like a whimsical world of its own, filled with fantastical weirdness that mirrors the comics we fans adore. The Four, who are legendary in these pages, seemed to be brought to life by real people.
According to our very own Ian Sandwell, the movie earned a solid three stars from him, primarily because it effectively immersed audiences in the realm of the Fantastic Four without feeling the need to delve into the team’s backstory.
In other words, as Ian points out, while the beginning is quite captivating, the rest of the story doesn’t show us a lot of the Fantastic Four actively involved.
In an effort to create a more concise narrative, the abundance of information about their heroic feats may have resulted in the film having very little plot left.
The Fantastic Four: First Steps is released in UK cinemas on 24 July and in US cinemas on 25 July.
