Sharon Osbourne’s haunting tribute to Cosby Show star just hours before Ozzy’s death was announced
In the hours leading up to the sad confirmation of her husband’s passing, the renowned rocker Ozzy Osbourne, Sharon Osbourne posted a touching tribute to Malcolm-Jamal Warner.
As a devoted fan, I’m saddened to share that Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary vocalist of Black Sabbath, left us on Tuesday at the age of 76. His family announced his passing, stating he was surrounded by love before he took his final breath.
Interestingly, just a short while before it was announced that Ozzy had passed away, Sharon posted a heartfelt tribute remembering Warner, who sadly lost his life at 54 in an apparent drowning incident the previous day.
In her Instagram post, Sharon (age 72) shared a video of Warner, who was grinning behind the wheel and donning a cap adorned with a floral design in honor of his daughter.
In the clip, the actor shares an uplifting message about finding joy in everyday moments.
Regardless of the circumstances, there is always something worth smiling about, asserts Warner in the video. If you pause for a moment to reflect, I assure you that you will discover at least one cause to grin.
‘If you ever find yourself lacking a reason to smile, perhaps it’s the ideal moment to become someone else’s reason for smiling instead.’
Sharon captioned her tribute: ‘Beautiful. Rest in peace @malcolmjamalwarner.’
Ozzy Osbourne passed away about two weeks following his last performance at the Back to the Beginning concert, during which he shared the stage once more with his Black Sabbath comrades in a joyous send-off.
With deeper sorrow than any words could express, we are compelled to share the heartbreaking news that our cherished Ozzy Osbourne has left us this morning.
I’m currently basking in the warmth of familial love, flanked by my beloved ones – Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee, and Louis. At this tender moment, we kindly request that our privacy be honored as we navigate through this journey together. Thank you for your understanding and respect.
This month, the musician gave a heartfelt goodbye to his audience on stage, joining once more with his original Black Sabbath colleagues – Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward – for the initial time since 2005.
In his closing remarks, Osbourne expressed that he couldn’t convey his emotions to them, but wanted to deeply thank the audience from the depths of his heart instead.
The musical icon promised that the show was his last one, given his health issues; he had revealed his struggle with Parkinson’s disease back in 2020.

The star was an extraordinary figure in the realm of music, managing to persevere through scandals that might have ended the careers of numerous others, and overcoming health hurdles that would typically leave many bedridden.
Regardless of whether it was decapitating a bat and a dove, ingesting ants in powder form, desecrating a U.S. war memorial while donning one of Sharon’s gowns, Ozzy Osbourne was known for his outrageous acts, both on the stage and off it.
The musician, known for selling over 100 million albums, is eternally linked with the heavy metal group he established in his hometown Birmingham back in 1969.
Black Sabbath’s songs like Iron Man, War Pigs, and Paranoid, which delved into occult themes, gained massive popularity yet sparked controversy. In fact, a future pope criticized Ozzy Osbourne for supposedly exerting subliminal satanic influence.
During a solo show, the most notorious incident involving Osbourne occurred when someone tossed a bat onto the stage. In a bizarre twist, he mistook the bat for rubber and bit its head off.

After getting kicked out of his band in 1979 due to his behavior fueled by drugs, Ozzy Osbourne went on to have a highly prosperous solo career. His hits include songs like “Crazy Train” and “Hellraiser.
As a lifestyle guide, I’d put it this way: In my personal journey, my actions off the stage have often been far from tame. Back in 1989, under the influence of drugs, I found myself in a harrowing situation where I made an attempt on Sharon’s life. Even seven years prior to that incident, my actions were questionable when I disrespected a historical monument by urinating on the Alamo Cenotaph in Texas. This reckless act led to my exclusion from San Antonio for a full decade.
In 2003, he suffered injuries from a quad bike accident at his residence in the UK. This incident took a significant toll on his already delicate state of health.
Despite his past struggles with substance abuse, the troubled singer found redemption by transforming into a reality TV personality on “The Osbournes” in the early 2000s, following his recovery from alcohol and drug addiction, which was supported by Sharon.
In their own rights, Kelly and Jack, two of Sharon’s children, rose to stardom, while their sister Aimee chose not to participate.
In 1997, Black Sabbath reunited with their original band members. Five years afterward, Ozzy and Iommi found themselves among the distinguished performers at the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Concert held at Buckingham Palace, where they played Paranoid.

In the year 2025, Ozzy Osbourne’s last performance with Black Sabbath took place. This was during a reunion concert with his fellow band members at Aston Villa’s Villa Park stadium located in Birmingham.
After enduring Parkinson’s disease for over five years, he spent a significant amount of time seated during his final performance.
John Michael Osbourne, who was born on December 3, 1948, grew up in a modest two-bedroom house in Birmingham, nurtured by his parents Lilian and John alongside three elder sisters and two younger brothers. This future rock star spent his formative years in this household.
The large family of eight often struggled financially, and Ozzy frequently found life tough due to constant disputes between his parents over financial matters.
Due to the tense nature of their marriage, Ozzy chose not to communicate with his parents following repeated instances of sexual abuse he endured at age 11, perpetrated by two peers.

In a subsequent conversation, I confessed, “I harbored this secret fear for so long; it left an indelible mark on me. I remember being cautious about sharing it with my parents, and looking back, it was a source of great turmoil. When I finally became a parent myself, one of the first things I told my children was, ‘Secrets can eat away at us if we don’t confront them.’
Aged 14, Osbourne tried to hang himself and was only saved by his father.
As someone who struggled greatly in my educational journey, I grappled with challenges such as ADHD and dyslexia that often made it tough to stay focused and keep up with my peers. Yet, these obstacles didn’t quell the fiery spirit within me. In one unfortunate instance, a moment of anger led me to act impulsively, resulting in an altercation with a teacher where I used an iron bar.
As for me, the captivating realm that held my focus during school hours was the enchanting world of music. I found myself gracing various stages as a performer in numerous adaptations of the timeless Gilbert & Sullivan operettas.
Osbourne left education at 15 and found work as a laborer and abattoir worker.
Osbourne then turned to petty crime.
Upon the eve of my 18th birthday, I found myself in quite a predicament. In an impulsive moment, I made a regrettable decision: I took a television and infant garments without permission. This act led to my apprehension, and subsequently, I spent six weeks incarcerated due to my father’s unwillingness to cover the £40 fine. It was a harsh lesson in responsibility and the consequences of poor choices.

While he was incarcerated, Osbourne got his initial tattoo – ‘OZZY’ written in capitals across his left-hand knuckles.
He formed his first band, Rare Breed, at 19, with bassist Geezer Butler.
In 1968, after having disagreements with their fellow band members, they teamed up with Iommi and Ward to establish Black Sabbath, originally known as Earth.
In 1969, they changed the band’s name as a homage to their preferred horror movie. This decision propelled Osbourne, Iommi, and Ward towards heavy metal nobility.
The group quickly established a reputation for dabbling with satanic and occult themes.
One initial commentator noted: ‘He made ominous predictions in a grandiose style, all while playing a particularly intense type of guitar music.’
