Married At First Sight star reveals devastating cancer battle as she undergoes major surgery: ‘I’m crying writing this’

I’m sharing my personal journey today, as I recently completed my second surgery in the fight against breast cancer. As a lifestyle expert, I believe it’s essential to share experiences like these to encourage and support others who may be facing similar challenges.

This week, a 47-year-old individual, previously featured in the second season of “Married At First Sight,” posted photos from her hospital stay on Instagram.

After my second operation, I’m floating on cloud nine, but everything went smoothly but splendidly! Progress is being made, step by step. This is what I shared in my post’s caption.

Christie expressed gratitude towards her “accomplice” Trent Victorsen by saying, “We’ve got it handled.” followed by “I adore you immensely.

In the pictures, you can see the ex-reality TV personality beaming with a smile, even though she was donning a hospital robe. Regardless of the situation, she managed to maintain a positive outlook.

Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve been looking back on this past year that I’ve been fighting against this relentless illness.

She expressed her emotions today, stating on Instagram that she is incredibly proud of herself and grateful for her family’s encouragement.

I couldn’t help but share my heartfelt thoughts along with a captivating collage of images that chronicle my transformation, from before the life-altering diagnosis to the triumphant aftermath of Christie’s treatment. This is more than just a fan speaking; it’s an avid supporter documenting the inspiring journey of a true hero.

She mentioned that the images might be sensitive, yet they can be worth seeing with a reaction like “I finally did it!”. She continues to do this, but has made significant progress already, she concluded.

I wouldn’t have been able to accomplish this without the support of my loved ones – my family and friends. You all mean the world to me! Writing this has made me realize just how fortunate I am, and it’s bringing tears to my eyes.

Jordee shot to fame in 2016, when she appeared on the second season of Married At First Sight.

As the bubbly brunette rapidly gained popularity alongside her partner Mark Hughes during filming, everything seemed smooth sailing. However, once the cameras were turned off, things began to fall apart.

Later on, Christie asserted that she faced hardships following her separation from Mark, describing it as a living nightmare and expressing disappointment that the show’s producers didn’t provide adequate support. Instead, they seemed more focused on generating compelling television content.

As a die-hard enthusiast, I can’t help but share my feelings about what happened when Christie confided in BW magazine. She disclosed that she was crushed to pieces when the announcement of her separation from Mark became public knowledge, and the viewer backlash left its mark on her heart.

Despite staying together in the series finale, they revealed their separation two months afterwards.

Christie was blamed by many MAFS fans for the split, and was subject to a torrent of online abuse.

She shared with BW, “That day (when the split was announced) is something I’ll always remember. I found myself walking aimlessly and eventually collapsed into a fetal position. I felt like I couldn’t catch my breath, and I think I cried hysterically for around three straight hours.

For about a year and a half, it had a significant impact on my mental wellbeing, leaving me in need of healing. The production could have taken many more steps to support its cast. Instead of focusing solely on counseling, I believe they should have carefully paired us, not only for the sake of television.
