Goldie Hawn, 79, has a mini-me besides her daughter Kate Hudson… find out who the cute tween is

Goldie Hawn has a mini-me out there besides her movie star daughter Kate Hudson.

On a Monday night, the 79-year-old Hollywood legend made an appearance on the red carpet alongside someone who resembled them more youthfully during the premiere of Happy Gilmore 2 in New York City.

It was her 12-year-old granddaughter Rio Hudson.

In simpler terms, Goldie is the offspring of Rio’s father, Oliver Hudson, and his wife, Erinn Bartlett. The pair, Oliver and Erinn, have been married for nearly two decades.

The little girl has two siblings: her brothers Bondi, 15, and Wilder, 17.

Goldie appeared delighted to share the limelight with the youthful girl, as they affectionately linked arms and flashed broad smiles for the cameras.

Goldie wore a blue-and-white striped sundress with her hair flowing freely, whereas Rio donned a yellow dress adorned with flowers, accessorizing it with gold necklaces and construction boots. Notably, she carried an Etienne Aigner handbag on her shoulder.

Also at the event was Rio’s mom and dad Erinn and Oliver as well as her brother Wilder.

At the premiere of Happy Gilmore 2, apart from Adam Sandler who reprised his role, there were also stars like John Cena, Nikki Garcia, Alix Earle, and Paige Spiranac in attendance.

Goldie has a large family.

Beyond just Kate and Oliver, I too am blessed with a son named Wyatt Russell, who shares his life with my long-term companion, Kurt Russell – yes, that’s right, the same incredible man you know from so many iconic roles!

In May, Goldie expressed pride in her kids’ decision to pursue acting, just like her, particularly because they managed to do so independently of any assistance from her.

In a Q&A following a screening of 1974’s The Sugarland Express at the Academy Museum in Los Angeles, the Oscar-winning actress shared insights into her approach to parenting.

The crime drama was the first feature film co-written and directed by Steven Spielberg.

Speaking about her children, Hawn expressed her desire to maintain as ordinary a childhood for them as she could. Interestingly, she even declined an acting role for her daughter Kate Hudson, who is now 46 years old.

In her own words, as reported by People, the star of Private Benjamin stated that she had never contacted an agent to represent her.

‘They had plans for Katie on a show, yet she was still in high school. As she was too young for my liking, I declined the opportunity. I wanted her to have a normal childhood, complete her education first, and only then consider such offers.’

The scheme appears to have been successful. Hudson, who was just 21 when she received an Academy Award nomination for her debut role in Almost Famous in 2000, has had a long and diverse career, featuring roles in films like How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and Glass Onion.

Hawn’s sons, Oliver Hudson (aged 48) and Wyatt Russell (aged 38), are also active in the acting profession, with Russell more recently starring in the movie “Thunderbolts.

In a sharing arrangement with ex-husband Bill Hudson, who is 75 years old, The First Wives Club actress has Kate and Oliver. With her longtime partner Kurt Russell, who is 74, she also has Wyatt, who is 38.

Hawhn expressed that her children represent her “legacy,” and she places greater importance on their personal qualities rather than their professional accomplishments. Additionally, she prefers not to offer them guidance.

She informed the crowd, “No, they must forge their own path. They don’t seek guidance from their elders. Isn’t that true for all of us?… Often we’re inundated with suggestions. Moreover, they are taking this journey independently.

‘What feels good is that they’re amazing human beings,’ she said.

Amongst us, I’m fortunate to be surrounded by incredibly gifted individuals. Each one of them is a remarkable human being, and so are all eight of my grandchildren. They truly embody the essence of greatness.

Hawn hopes her kids surpass her in their careers.

In my enthusiastic perspective, who wouldn’t yearn for surpassing one’s parents’ accomplishments? It’s all about growth and striving for more, if you ask me.

‘It’s natural for us to surpass our parents, and that’s what we strived for. Both Kurt and I had that aspiration. When we see it happening, it feels amazing, like a truly remarkable moment.’

The grandmother not long ago bestowed roles in her forthcoming instructional movie, Brain Buddies, upon three of her grandkids, taking pride in their involvement.

She mentioned that she was both the writer and producer, while her grandchildren, Wilder, Bodhi, and Rio, provided the voiceovers, regarding Oliver’s offspring.

She praised the performers for their excellent adherence to her directions, impressive delivery of lines, well-crafted character portrayals, and overall performance quality, as she reflected on the experience.

For myself, it was an unforgettable pleasure that I’ll carry with me forever, an experience the kids will always remember.
