Married At First Sight’s Michael Brunelli savagely takes down woman who fat shames his two-year-old toddler with Martha Kalifatidis

Michael Brunelli strongly defended his two-year-old son, Lucius, against a critic who called him overweight on social media by delivering a firm rebuttal.

In the month of February 2023, Michael and his companion Martha Kalifatidis expanded their family with the arrival of Lucius. Frequently, Lucius can be seen in the duo’s digital content.

In a recent Instagram post, the influencer (previously known as a groom on MAFS) didn’t hold back when criticizing a woman for her comment. This individual gained popularity during season six of the popular dating show.

Michael posted a picture of him snuggling with his toddler Lucas, and he captured the remark that followed: ‘It seems you should keep an eye on his weight, as it appears he might be overweight according to my observation.’

Michael posted a message for his 328,000 followers, asking them to swipe horizontally (or scroll) to read a passionate statement he had written.

In his reaction, Michael contemplated commenting something like, “Perhaps we should keep an eye on his diet,” when viewing a picture of a young child.

‘That’s not concern,’ the father-of-one wrote. ‘That’s real-life brain rot.’

If your instinctive response when seeing a content, thriving two-year-old is to label them as ‘overweight’, it would be best for both you and the children if you avoid such situations.

‘Get help. Touch grass. Drink some water,’ Michael told the troll. 

‘And keep your projections the f**k away from mine.’

Fans of Michael and Martha were quick to condemn the troll in the comments section of his post. 

The leading comment on the post states, ‘Picture someone criticizing the physical appearance of a toddler, just two years old. It’s hard to understand why the world is this way. Bubba is cheerful, healthy, and absolutely adorable beyond words!’

‘While touching grass, please eat dirt,’ a second commenter told the troll. 

Some individuals can be quite unattractive, but my child and I find your son incredibly handsome! Your response was also well thought out.

One admirer remarked to the father that viewing pictures of Lucia with her parents evokes a sense of love, happiness, and aesthetical appeal within them.

‘Has to win the dumbest comment on the internet today,’ concurred another.  

Last month, Michael opened up to fans about the impact parenthood has had on his psychological and bodily health, expressing strong emotions.

In a candid Instagram post, Michael admitted that although he cherishes being a father, he finds it hard to identify with the person he has transformed into.

In a heartfelt admission, the 33-year-old shared, ‘It felt strangely unfamiliar when I gazed into the mirror today. It wasn’t because there’s something dramatically amiss with me, but rather, I acknowledged that I’m not at the place I aspire to be – both physically and mentally.’

Michael, having discovered enduring affection with his partner Martha Kalifatidis during the show, confessed that he’s been operating in survival mode, thereby prioritizing his role as a parent over his personal health and joy.

He mentioned that his gym bag is dusty, the vegetables in the fridge remain uneaten, and his pedometer hasn’t reached 10,000 steps for quite some time. It seems as though he’s present physically, but his mind wanders to a thousand different places.

In private, Michael openly expressed that being a father was the role he wore with the most pride.

‘Being a dad is a massive part of my purpose,’ he said. 

Amidst the chaos, stress, sleeplessness, and negativity that life sometimes brings, I found myself losing touch with who I truly am.

Looking at his old photographs served as a reminder for the ex-PE teacher to recommit to a healthier lifestyle.
